from last year. And make sure you're not drinking bourbon when you do so.

And yes, we need another thread like this.

I think a lot of the problems are at least correctable which is a little better. Still concerned about 3rd and longs defensively though.

I'd say people were just expecting a more dominating, fundamentally sound performance which didn't quite happen.

No. LSU.

now that the rust is shaken off, I'm ready for some of teh football we had in 07.

The UGA game is a different story.

People were expecting 2003 against Arizona. This team isn't that good, and this UW team isn't nearly as bad as they were last year.

LSU played much better in the 2nd half, and took control of the game when it was on the line. It wasn't dominating, but it was a road win against a BCS school, so I'll take it.

O-line and D-Secondary need some improvement. Other than that, can't say anything bad about the rest... except punting

Agreed. Not being a Negatiger, but Taylor was clearly flat out lost on some assignments on D.

You can watch it 10X and still won't find any semblance of dominance on D.

And to compare everything to '08 is taking the lowest standard out there.

Les needs to crack the whip on Chavis's backside - real soon.

I actually forgot about the punting. What was up with that? Punter sucked major arse fumes.

I watched us punt the ball 23 yards one time and 30 another time.

Hell, if they hadn't made the last td. It would have looked much better.

I think we can fix almost every issue we had in that game over time...except the punting!! We really need to recruit a good punter!! I just thought the punt ugly formation was bad...it's worse when the punt itself is ugly!! We just need to go for it on forth down hell they get damn near the same feild position!

I think UW just came out and hit us in the mouth. We were dazed for most of the first quarter. After that I think the coaches were just happy to get out of there with the win.

I just watched it again too. Actually, you take a couple bad calls, and a couple missed tackles and this game is a blow out. We did play too soft on defense but it appeared to be by design. Also, a very conservative offense by design. I expect more next week against Vandy.

the defense swarmed... missed some tackles, out of position and couldn't get off the field BUT SWARMED

good for their fitness to work sixty game minutes in the great northwest.

Miles also commented to Jordy on Inside LSU football that this was a "heck of a trap game," and that he thought UW had an advantage by not having to worry about school since they don't start class for a few weeks. Take this fwiw.
