Well for right now from my sources sitting in on NG top level meetings they're saying that with what it looks like right now, they will be evacuating starting Friday night.

Wow, just wow. A little early you think?

That would mean we could do what Tulane did in 2005 after Katrina and play every game on the road!

Now we're thinking with our heads. Or, we could just cancel the football program. I saw something like 5 tropical disturbances on the radar. How can we play a game with all of those Caribbean Islands getting rain????

Sports2 just said the game is on!

If WAFB is wrong with their "sources" again, someone needs to close that station down or run them out of Baton Rouge or something. They still owe some people money from non refundable plane tickets to the Rose Bowl.

Now their "source" says the game could be postponed, and if it doesn't, then you'll likely see a 50,000 seat filled Tiger Stadium. Again, more loss money.

WAFB better hope to God this game is postponed.

It's rather simple:

Jindal has already called in the big guns from the Federal Govt anticipating that the hurricane would hit Louisiana. He can't stop what he already has in motion.

Is this "Source" reporting this to WAFB the same one Kirk Herbstreit used for the Miles to Michigan story?

You're griping about them jumping the gun, and now you're assuming that 40,000 people are reading their website that says that LSU might postpone the game and they're going to decide not to show up.

WAFB's source was LSU spokesman Charles Zeewee.

I think they're pushing too hard to break a story without good info.

I think if we get to midday tomorrow its too late to cancel. Plus the storm progress continues to lag behind all of the models...

So if everyone is evacuated, the game is postponed, and not a drop of rain hits NOLA, will Bobby be a 1 term Gov?

Or the 40,000 people that were watching the WAFB evening news who are, or knows someone who was planning on attending the game.

I think the people who are saying it doesn't matter just don't have tickets. Either that, or they don't understand how pushing this game back could potentially frick the entire football season schedule up.

When do we play Appy?
If the storm is bad and hits Tuesday, do we play Troy?
If we have to start against N. Texas, will we have ANY bye weeks?

If people need to leave then they should do so after work tomorrow to get a three day jump on the motherfricker. I don't think people need some designated time to get away if they think it'll hit.

You can still party and get SOOOOO shite faced that you dont even know where your at anyways.... Lives being saved and ample time for evacuations is MORE important than ANY sporting event.. So go on down to the store and get you a fifth and a couple cases of natty lite and get drunk....Whats the diff??

IDK, All I know is that BJ was supposed to be the end-all know-all to everything (at least thats what every body was trying to convince of of during the last election to get him elected), so now that he's actually out there making some decisions, everybody is questioning them....

Cuz I'm sure Bobby Jindal's first priority is whether or not LSU's playing some crappy division II team on Saturday night and not trying to protect the 4+ million people of the state he governs.
