If at all possible, wait one more hour. OEP officals from the parishes involved are meeting as we speak (type). I'm hearing they are leaning towards postponing the game. I have to work with various OEP officals almost daily and trust me when I tell you it's not looking good for the game. You should hear something offical one way or the other within the hour.

If contraflow starts on sat this will go down as the all time premature evacuation. Any idea what the financial impact of evacuating the ENTIRE La coast will be? Not to mention having to house them for 2-3 days before anything happens.

Some of you know there was supposed to be a meeting this morning betweem state police and LSU, and there should be something out by noon. An administrative contact I have indicated that the most likely change would be to a 2:30 start, give or take. There was talk about a noon kickoff but ESPN started talking financial penalties.

Considering what happened with Katrina and a month later Rita three years ago, LSU and everything involved, including the governor, is not going to let a football game take priority over the personal safety of Louisiana citizens. If there is an error made, it will be on the side of caution.

this is completely different than katrina. this storm is not in the gulf when the game would be over. its path has shifted west the last few days and its moving like a snail. there is a line where safety and being cautious becomes retarded. Calling for contra flow at this point not knowing where the frick it could go is past that point.

this has so many chances for an epic failure by acting this early. say this shite just goes nowhere what happens next time a real threat comes. people will say frick you and not leave bc last time you pulled this to early.
