I'm inclined to believe it's something like this. CBK may be many things, but politically, he's cold-blooded. If an OC change is made right now, improvement would be expected immediately. If it doesn't happen, CBK is alone in the spotlight before the season even ends.
If CBK makes the move on Sloan after the season, CBK knows he buys himself another season at least to see how things play out.

What the hell? No Sloan doesn’t need to go down on the field, he needs his arse to leave Baton Rouge. This is so stupid if true. But everything affiliated with LSU football this year has been retarded so I shouldn’t be surprised
