One, you would have to "assume" our kicker would have made it. it was from the same distance as the last he missed.

two, we had already overcome that decision. we had the lead and the ball in bama territory with 2 minutes left.

to me, there is only one decision that can/should be considered fair game to criticize. The decision not to try and get the first down. that's it.

All the other decisions did not matter up until that point. you over came all the other stuff.

now, with the above said. certainly reasonable and prudent people could understand, may not agree, but understand the thinking. make them score a t.d., i don't think they can on my defense that has stuffed them the entire second half.

now, still doesn't mean mett or lsu would have completed the pass and got the first down. the game still could have turned out the same.

a lot of fans are narrowing their critism to the fake f.g., the fourth down call, the onside kick, and the long field goal. well, all those didn't matter. you were winning with the ball with 2 minutes left.

at the end of the day, our vaunted defense allowed two t.d. drives of over 70 yards in less than 1 minute each. that's where the game was lost. hold just one of them to a field goal and it's o.t., all the other calls wouldn't have and shouldn't have mattered.

seems like alot of us feel the exact same way

This crap about Miles having the players prepared is a bunch of crap. They got themselves prepared, he is paid millions to make smart game time decsions ... instead he made really dumb calls. Mett finally had a hot hand and when the chips were down what did he do. Run three times and try a field goal. If he was so damn agressive why not try a pass and win the game. We had the best players on the field Sat nite and the jackass red people had the best coach ... and I hate Saban. Now I hate that idiot Miles more ....

Lighten up, Francis.

Just cause a call doesn't pan out there is no need to go all emotional and start acting troll like.

Not just one call Francis ... he chokes a lot in critical situations ... for 4000000 bucks we should expect more.

again. Miles is an idiot.

Link? Because what he actually said was he would like some if those plays back. What he said they wouldnt have changed was the defense. You guys read bullshite on here and spout it out like its the fricking bible.

And I loved each and every one of them. The kicker slipped on the long FG. That cost him some yards. The other calls, none of which worked, fired up the stadium and fired up the team. It was "playing to win" at its finest.

At the end of MY day, I could not be prouder of the Tigers, and especially Mett. And all I can say to the naysayers is "frick off and die."

It was simply a suggestion. Your post was full of douche and stupidity. But that's just my opinion.

That is correct. Even ignorant douches get to express their opinions. Need proof?..

you sir are a complete moron if you think that is the case. Your bias has blinded you to reason. You will not give Miles credit for anything and blame him for everything. Luckily adults are in charge and not adolescents like you.

What I love about this site is how respectful people are about different opinions. Miles had something to do with preparation ... Yes of course ... I agree however I believe any decent coach would have got this team ready to play given the circumstances. Any moron can see that ... even you.

Miles is a great recruiter I will give him that I love Miles, he is funny, he makes me laugh when I hear him speak, when he makes complete coherent sentences. He is warm and fuzzy guy ... he is just not a good game day coach.

So when it was 4th and 1 with 8:41 remaining and you qb sneak Ware against 7 350 lb defensive lineman and get 0 yards, you don't think running Hill, Hillard, Sheppard, or Ford getting the first down and probably going up by 10 points with Tiger Stadium going completely nuts might have worked a little better.

I hope we have learned to stay in a spread against strong defensive teams (instead of tight formation) when we go for short yardage. It gives us more opportunities. Now against lesser opponents the 2 TE set is the answer.
