I thought I read A&M was building something as well. No matter, he's been promised they'll get working on the facility for at least 3 years now and it's been put on hold.

LSU supposedly had a series of upgrades in place pre COVID that have been shelved. I don’t want to derail the thread, but the facilities could use an upgrade in totality. Every 15-20 years and then give Jay the newest technology to keep him ahead of everyone on and off the field.

What they won't talk about is the 35 years of pushing WBB down your throat by ESPN that got the audience to where it is now.

Listening to ESPN talk about ratings is like listening to the Fed about economic numbers.

They’re both highly motivated propagandists.

ESPN has to pimp the girls to keep its NBA contracts so they push sh!t to the masses and try to convince everyone that it’s caviar.

He wants an indoor and upgrades to pitching lab.

I think he should get them eventually, but facility upgrades are a lot more complicated now than they were just a few years ago. Rev Share is taking money that used to be completely earmarked for department expenses and cap-ex projects and shifting it to the players. And the donors that would get behind projects like these are the same ones who are also funding the NIL that makes our baseball recruiting work.

That doesn’t mean the school shouldn’t commit to a timeframe and prioritize one of its best coaches, but there’s also not a magic money wand for an expenditure that large. The Rev share is a much easier problem to solve than facilities.

I come in peace & ask why you question the OP?

Not to put words in the OP's post, but I think he is saying we need to get baseball a greater percentage of the base $. Jay did great with the pre House $. It was a level playing field. Post House, i.e., the $20.5M), schools like Arkansas, USCe, State & maybe more are giving a greater % to baseball.

If you are saying that LSU should be a football, MBB & WBB "school", OK, that is your position. I think our history is we are a football & baseball school.

Do I understand your position?

Thanks

As we prove again and again, we have the money when we need to have the money. Men's basketball is being revived, as it should be.
