The emergence of Swinson has been special

I actually thought in his limited snaps last year he was our most productive rusher. He hardly finished with a sack but he always seemed to get the QB off his spot.
I listen to a lot of LSU talk shows in my spare time. Jordy, Matt, Tbob/Hester etc
All off-season long and into preseason hypes and camps Swinson was NEVER really mentioned. It finally dawned on me that he was back and returned but there was never any hype about him from any outlet?
Hes carried the defense abd set the tone all season long. Now Weeks has been amazing since Perk went down but I don't think anyone is surprised by that.
Just awesome to see this kid (a transfer) emerge this season and become the cornerstone of this defense. On pace to break the LSU single season sack record set by Arden Key. Another brilliant game vs Ole Miss. This guy deserves his flowers. Keep it up Young man

Blake Baker, Bo Davis, and Kevin Peoples have been worth every penny
You'll see even more improvement once more 4/5 stars start stacking on each other

The 247 and On3 podcast guys all talked about Swinson and Jones being potential impact players in this defense based on flashes they had shown previously.
I think Jones has probably met expectations for a bounce-back season. Swinson has blown the doors off any I think even the most optimistic fan could have had.

He and Davis have been so damn good. Peoples had the returning talent to make the DEs difference makers. What Davis has done making a functional interior with a couple of journeymen and true freshmen has been insane. DT should be a glaring weakness, but it’s been a solid group so far. That’s exceeding expectations considering the talent level and lack of experience there. Both have been home run hires so far.

I really didn't think much of his transfer from Oregon but what a great pickup he has been for us. I really thought Quency Wiggins was going to be a star player. Go figure how things work out and kudos to the staff.

The transfer portal has been way better to us on incomers vs outgoers. Burrow, Jayden, Kyren Lacy, Swinson... a Nati, 2 Heismans, 4 top 2 round picks. AA tied us the game. Lacy won it, both transfers.
Can't bitch about transfer portal. None of our outgoing players have near this success besides Bech and Trey Palmer did well. Lindsay Scott did great but at Incarnate Word.

For sure. It really makes you wonder what the hell the defensive line was being taught the last few seasons. It’s refreshing to see guys rush with technique
