Maybe they are doing that because Peterson is in his 5th yr as Head Coach and has taken a good program and actually made it better and the height of success they have enjoyed as a program has all been under his watch the last 5 years?

Do you think anyone of those guys on Boise's defense would start for LSU? We got plenty of talent. I think they just play as a team and do it very well.

If LSU played Boise's schedule we'd be undefeated nearly every year.....they play a bunch of high schools with 20,000 seat stadiums. Have them play the game they played last night....and then turn around and play bama...and then turn around and play UF....and then turn around and play Arky....and then turn around and play UT, or UGA, or Ole Miss. frick Boise State

Good points Choctaw and I agree that Boise as a program (right now) couldn't play in a conference like the SEC and go undefeated each year. So we are in agreement on that. But I could care less about Boise it's they way their coaches coach and how their team plays is what impresses me. I personally think their Head Coach and OC could coach just fine in the SEC or any conference for that matter.

After looking at Hawkins the last several years, maybe Petersen as an assistant was also responsible for the good years while Hawkins was there??

The only difference between LSU and Boise is Boise has more "Football Players" and LSU has more "Athletes".
LSU will be back in National Contender mode, once we get more "Football Players" to blend in with the "Athletes". Boise's Problem is they will struggle to get the "Athletes" to play with their "Football Players".

Florida did it in 1995 & 1996, Tenn is 1998, Alabama in 1992, Auburn in 1994.
