Nice deflection, but I don't understand where you missed the blitzes on those drives that basically gave them 20 yd chunk plays to extend the drive. We weren't playing soft, so I am confused about your assumption. We were just more successful blitzing in the 2nd half.
You're talking to a bunch of guys that play the results only. They don't understand when we bring pressure, they only see the pressure when it actually gets home.

any team ever blitzed on a majority of their plays,
No one is suggesting we do that this year
Blitz when appropriate, play man coverage, bump at the line of scrimmage and be aggressive pursuing the football

Florida was 9/17 on 3rd down. Just over 50%. We were too aggressive on 3rd and long and it got us beat quite a few times. Playing zone and simply keeping them behind the sticks instead of going for the home run play would have likely ended a few of their drives.

Pretty goddamned important

We played better in the second half after we got more aggressive. There's no disputing that

Let’s be honest, Florida oline has been big area of concern all year for them. Since they let everyone hold like crazy you almost have to blitz from outside or off the line even against them. In the SEC with complete lack of holding calls you are not going to get pressure with front four

This is correct. We didn't shake hm and made him look like a superstar
Most st of his passing yards were in the first half though.
Roger is a perfect example of someone who doesn't see/know the specific details.
Trask threw for 160 in the 2nd half, 19 more yards than the first half.

Well done.

Nope. Still wrong, but I don't expect you to understand that. You think Trask threw for "most of his yards" in the first half.

Yup, we were too aggressive and they played it perfectly. Our over pursuit on those plays opened up a shite ton of open space.

Wat, are you saying we didn't play better in the second half?
Please be saying this. You're the guy who cried all offseason about this offense

He did
Even moreso, after the first drive of the second half UF scored no points whatsoever.

He threw for more yards in the second half Roger. It's not an opinion, it's a fact. This is hilarious.

My bad, I should have started after the initial drive when we made adjustments.

This is absolutely ridiculous.
How many points did they score after we got "aggressive?"
The LBers were lost in the first half.

This guy usually doesn't let facts stop him from pushing his narrative.
This is the same idiot who defended a shitty offense last season all day every day on here. If you had concerns with the offense, then you were an Orgeron hating fake fan. He has no problem taking shots at the defense though. Why? Because Orgeron didn't hire Aranda. If Orgeron had hired his own DC, he would be defending the shite out of the defense. I guess he's not a real fan, by his own sayings from last season.

You mean when we were more successful in being aggressive, right? Cause we were aggressive in the first half as well, it bit us in the arse multiple times. Again it's still a blitz if it doesn't get to the QB.
Probably time for me to make like a tree, and get the frick out of this Nega thread.

Rog, we dropped an INT and Queen just missed the 4th down pass in the first half.
Only difference in the results in either half. We played more zone in the 2nd half, per Orgeron, but UF still had their way up to the 10 yard line on those drives.

Are you really going to sit here and say that you were not arguing all day, every day, last season to defend the offensive production (or lack of production, should I say). There are about 50 people on this board who can verify what I'm saying.

Sure. You won't do it, but I would love for you to do that. I've been asking you idiots to show me where I have hated Orgeron for months now. Not once have any of you been able to back it up.

Can I just also point out in this thread that EVERYONE claims AUs defense is the shite and...…
Trask completed a higher percentage of his passes against them and...…..he averaged 7.5 per completion vs them while 7.9 vs us.
So, this whole, "how did we let Trask....blah blah blah" narrative is just dumb.

The problem with the approach is allows for the offense to dictate what hapoens, and can(often)give a quarterback confidence.
