did say the offense was pretty bad last season.

And I said they improved, to which the reply was "the defenses we faced were shite blah blah blah

We also ran stunts and blitzes

This. A zone blitz is an entirely different animal for an offensive coordinator and QB. It forces them to react, not dictate. It makes the QB read quickly after the snap instead of rely on a ore-snap read. If you mix it up and get some pressure, you can get an offense off rhythm and in a QB’s head.

When you rush 3 and drop 8, which we did more than I’ve ever seen, then you allow the OC to pick out matchups pre-snap and the QB to make one read. It’s as if the OC is reading the defense for him. UF dictated the matchups and the tempo for an entire half of football and for chunks of the 2nd half and nothing you say will erase that from the tape.

Dropping 8 against a spread offense with a good OC is the worst strategy possible in college football today. If he can’t get this defense to disguise coverage and mix up zone blitz, then we will be gouged all season.

I asked for links first and you cannot produce.

So why would you wait on me?

Because.....

I'm not even asking you for a link right now. I'm just asking you to tell me what I melted over about Burrow all off-season, and what I was so wrong about. But in typical Roger fashion, you are name calling, making shite up, and dancing around the question.

Are you guys really cool will moving the goal posts this far for a staff paid this much?

Not doing any of that. The defense played better than Auburn's did v UF, but they could have been much better.

The sky isn't falling though either.

It seems pretty clear that Aranda and Orgeron have a very different take than you.

In the post game press conference, O literally said we ran more man and blitzed more in the second half when asked about adjustments.

Evidently not, we had multiple pressures/sacks in the latter part of the game

Why wouldn't we come out that way after watching the last 6 weeks?

That's my point - despite what this board thinks is obvious, the staff clearly thinks otherwise when game planning.

No one is saying that here.

I fully expect to see a more energized defense down the stretch.

On the field he said we mixed up pressures and played more zone.

Another lie..

It's almost like you think your words disappear after posting your bullshite

Now link to where I claimed you said Burrow and Orgeron suck

Or did you just make that up?

I don’t share your opinion on that at all. AU’s defense kept them in the game when their offense sucked balls. They were constantly in bad field position. And while they gave up some big plays, they got pressure and forced a lot of three and outs. They put their offense in a good position to win and their offense shite the bed.

LOL

Yes let's just pretend they haven't done the same thing every game over your objections

They agree with you

I don't recall it in this thread

Aranda has the personnel to dial up an attacking defense when it's necessary. He's been very slow to make adjustments this season. That doesn't mean he can't or will not in the future.

They haven't. See the Utah State and Ga State games.

Still can't answer what I melted over Burrow about, or what I was so wrong about.

Yet you are the one who can't provide an answer for something you claimed to have posted in this very thread.

You maybe didn't say those words exactly, but you said I melted over Burrow all off-season. I take that to mean I was saying he sucked. Clearly I am trying to clarify by getting an answer from you, but you refuse to answer because you don't want to proven to be a liar again.

And again, you've called me an Orgeron hater probably 50 times.

UF had 3 3 and outs vs Auburn and us.

I've said it before in a thread I started, but the "problem" with this defense continues to be a lack of turnovers. Catching the damn football would do wonders.

First of all O approves each gameplan and the schemes they run and I’m quite confident that between Aranda and O they know more about defense than the rant does

This doesnt excuse the fact that the D was straight up arse the first half of the game.
Make excuses all you want, but this is a fact and I refuse to believe.....as Shorty Rob is suggesting.....that this is a part of the master plan.

Hell to the frick naw!

Says we went back to playing some zone in the 2nd half.
