Well if all you looked at was the people behind the plate I get you. Way too many of them don't show up for these games. Its ridiculous. Wish they would take the seats away from those who don't come to at least a few games.

It also is ridiculous that people leave in the 8th inning of a tied ball game. Really never understood that. Whats the point of going if you are predetermined to leave in the 8th

I agree, I said God Dammit when Raph hit into DP and "You've got to be shitting me" when he misplayed the ball in the OF. I apologized to the family next to me and they just laughed and said don't worry about it. But I wasn't a drunk douche.

This is the how you do it, cuss where it is entirely appropriate. Acknowledge those around you, and laugh about it. I have small kids, when thing go to heck I cuss, I suspect they will too. But I don't have a stream of vulgar language in every conversation. Parents should try to keep kids under control, surrounding fans should appreciate the new fans and try not to be jackasses.

It was way worse than it normally is, and during pivotal points in the game.

I don't understand people who question people who leave. It's 1 game out of 60. I can think of about 100 things more important in someone's life than the outcome of that game.

Please, if they had 100 things better to do, why stay for 8 innings? Why pay for the game and outrageous concession prices for your family and not see the outcome.

When people leave early that are sitting next to me, I'm glad because I can spread out. I don't understand the bitching about people leaving either.

I don't know because it's cheap entertainment?

I would happily go to an Atlanta braves game for 10 bucks a ticket and will happily leave in the 7th.

I too was disappointed in the crowd noise last night, except of course for the 8th and 9th innings. I understand that the crowd isn't going to be as intense as the 9th inning for the entire game, but at times the silence was just deafening. In my section sometimes, if I cheer and no one else does they look at me like I'm an idiot. You know what, I don't care. I love tiger baseball and want to be supportive of team. I cheer without them. Geaux Tigers!

The crowd is fine. shite, I was impressed that 9,000 and some change showed up last night, given that it was a beautiful day/evening and Jazz Fest is going on with some pretty good acts yesterday.

Yeah, who is comparing last night to a Super Regional game??? There is no comparison.

also trying to compare a saturday game middle of the season with bad weather threatening, to the last super regional in the old alex box which was with a team who just came off of one of the greatest winning streaks in school history, had the most amazing 9th inning comeback in school history (well one of them) is just stupid.

about the people behind the plate, those people usually have good connections and are good loyal fans. This isn't football baseball is a very different animal then other sports.

The people that don't get excited for baseball are the same LSU fans that yell at me for standing up during football games. Stay at home please if ya wanna sit on your arse with your kids.

I thought we got a few solid chants in. I like when we can get the outfield into it and it sounds good. I thought the LSU chant, I believe when Jones hit his double in the 9th, was strong. I was fairly tipsy and pretty vocal behind home plate, as was an old lady beside me. All in all, Blue fricked that crowd up. Paul went beast mode.
Had the phantom balk not given SC a 2 run cushion, we sac bunt Jones home and go extra innings. frick blue and his shaky strike zone. And frick Manny Muscle.

The game last night was frustrating and to start a thread to bitch about the crowd is simply too stupid to discuss.

We had 10,000 actual attendance last night and all I hear is how the fans weren't loud enough?

Um, Louisville played Kentucky earlier this year and broke an attendance record with 6,000. That was their all time record and we get that on weekday games against Southern.

Even the Regional at UCLA was a record crowd a few years ago with 2,500.

You people need to chill out with this crap.
