3 out of 4 thoughts are negative/filled w/ fear.
1 out of 4 thoughts are positive/filled w/ faith.
if you can stay in the moment (now) it is always the best, b/c living in the now is FAITH.
accepting what is is god's will.
expectations are our will and we are NOT god.
we are IN the BEST years!

I would say about the same as it's been or it could be better, and to say it will be about the same is saying a whole heck of a lot. LSU has made a hell of a run in the past 10-12 years. To say it could be better would be skimming the very top layer of molecules off the cream that rose to the top.
Bama in the past 5 years is about as good of a run as there has ever been, but I think LSU can be the preeminent program in college football. LSU is easily a top five program in the 21st century, especially in regards to win-loss consistency (with the ridiculous strength of schedule) and sending players to the NFL. I'm not a fan of hypotheticals, but if Saban weren't at Alabama, LSU could possibly be the top dog in CFB. Like I said, LSU is still easily top five.
It's been a hell of a ride and I can't wait for more.

Definitely ahead of us. We continue to recruit well and sign talented players. If Miles gives CC the keys to the offense and there is minimal improvement LSU will be a very dominant team.
In the midst of Bama's great run the ONLY team to stand toe to toe with them and slug it out each year has been LSU; that will continue. There might be a mutual sports hate between LSU and Bama but they respect one another because of the level of play.
How quickly people forget 13-0. We did that with a brutal schedule and can do so again. I actually think the harder schedule helps LSU play better as they seem a more focused team.
Can't wait for the season to begin!

The single greatest indicator of future job performance is past job performance. I think more of the same. Really close to being greatest of all time, but just one play or one game or one player(QB,LB,TE etc.) short.

Have been behind since Christmas Day 2004.Since Saban left the program has collapsed.
This south end zone construction is a ruse.LSU is actually removing about 17,000 seats as interest in the program continues to wane.

Live in the moment! Things can change in a year or two.

This thread is not too specific and I don't think I am miserable but....
We have 2 national titles in the last 10 years. It's unlikely we have 3 national titles in the next ten years.
ETA: So in a 20 year span it is likely that the best (10) years in that stretch are behind us. Especially if you consider our finishes the years we did not win a title.
If we merely maintain this last season's status (10-3, ranked, but not in the title games) for a 5-6 year stretch, it wouldn't be as good as we've just came through-- but still one of the top stretches the program has ever seen.

We backed in with 2 losses.

quote:Agreed, if you look at the data, after a 13-1 season each, Miles' has 4 two loss seasons compared to Saban's next best effort of 10-3 and 9-3......wait.....I mean after a 8-5 and a 9-4 season each, Saban has more 3 loss seasons than Miles..... wait..... well if you look hard enough you'll see a collapse, somewhere.
Since Saban left the program has collapsed.

Probably ahead, but not this year. We will have another difficult year before things get better.
