The Ballad of Clueless Joe (to the Tune of Johnny Horton’s Battle of New Orleans)

To the Tune of The Battle of New Orleans
“The Ballad of Clueless Joe”
In 2019, take a little trip,
Down to the Louisiana Landship,
Now you’ve heard of Nero, Nixon and Ebenezer Scrooge,
Now I’ll tell you ‘bout Alleva and the School in Baton Rouge,
Chorus:
He fired Les Miles, but screwed up coach huntin,
Lost Jimbo and Tom, and wound up with Coach O,
Tried to fire Will Wade,
The fans, they came a gunnin,
Power of the rant, got rid of Clueless Joe,
vs 1:
Well he screwed up Royal when he bungled Duke Lacrosse,
After that he shouldn’t ever have been anybody’s boss,
But the folks in charge made a choice profoundly dumb,
So clueless Joe packed up his bags, to LSU he’d come,
Chorus :
He fired Les Miles, but screwed up coach huntin,
Lost Jimbo and Tom, and wound up with Coach O,
Tried to fire Will Wade,
The fans, they came a gunnin,
Power of the rant, got rid of Clueless Joe,
Vs 2:
Well he rode the tails, of the crystal ball with Miles,
Screwing up tailgating while The Hat he lost his style,
When we lost at Auburn, Miles should have seen the door,
But Alleva folds to pressure, so he gave him one chance more,

Lost Jimbo and Tom, and wound up with Coach O,
Tried to fire Will Wade,

And he Cost us a game and a matchup at home,
Well he cost us coaches and he screwed concessions,
Anyone with brains knows that Alleva had to go,
Well he read a blog from Yahoo so he booted Winning Will,
Til they ran him out the PMAC,
And the Board went for the kill,
Well they brought back Wade and showed old Clueless Joe the door,
And soon enough Alleva will be gone forevermore,
