I stopped getting the advocate 10 years ago.

I don’t know about the Advocate but with a lot of news sites if you will delete cookies/browsing history it will reset and you can continue to receive free articles. Also, setting your browser to private probably works as well

I stopped reading the Advocate because I got fed up with reading an article and 2 mins in the site would switch to an ad.

I'm guessing when you click on an article you get that subscription page? When I get that, I just click the back arrow and then the stop page really quick and that usually gives me the article I want to read.

Hopefully, yes and the cost is $10M. That way I won't be tempted to read that crap they call journalism.
