God/monotheism isn’t strictly a Christian tenet. But I do agree people need more religion and morals in their lives today.

Who you talking about?
Because Bo Nix’s mom said some crazy virtue-signaling shite about being a good Christian family and God told them for Bo to go to Oregon…

God is order in creation and behavior. A man came in his example and was sacrificed as an innocent for others.

Not to get off topic and not to be disrespectful, but I never understood this logic. I imagine the whole “sacrifice” played out like this.

God: “Son, I need you to do me a favor, go down to earth for 33 years, let them kill you, then you can come back and we can get back to running the universe as usual like nothing ever happened.”
Jesus: “Do I have to? Earth sucks and I really don’t like the idea of being nailed to a cross.”
God: “Nah, people live on earth all the time, think how bad they have it. Also people get crucified all the time. One of your disciples is actually going to get crucified upside down so at least I’m not making you do that. Plus I’ll give you special powers and you’ll be the most famous person in human history when you come back.”

There are millions of people in America living in poverty who would easily take that offer. Not saying the resurrection didn’t happen, but this “sacrifice” stuff is way over the top. It’s like you’ve said it so many times that you don’t even really stop to think about it.

I’d say defending an atheistic worldview without indisputable evidence while requiring the theistic side to have 100% documented proof is pretty biased/stubborn.

Good Lord, (pun intended), double-standard much?

So ,anyway, agnosticism is the only viable position intellectually speaking. Nobody KNOWS.

The crux of it falls in Christ’s perfection and complete innocence from any sin. You’re right, if Christ wasn’t perfection, he couldn’t have been a sufficient sacrifice and his death on the cross would be largely unremarkable. If he had lacked perfection, he simply would be getting what he deserved by being killed on a cross.
