As a Bammer but more so a college football fan who's parents displaced me in Arkansas as a kid 40 years ago, I was desperate to keep up with Bama and the SEC.
Thanks to WWL, I got in a habit of listening to LSU games. Even though Jim didn't start calling games for LSU until I was in high school, he immediately became my favorite non-Bama voice on the radio.
One of the greats! I wish him well and will miss being able to listen to him when I'm driving someplace on a Saturday night!
