That’s hyperbole…but not by much. If LSU can’t win tomorrow, and worse, gets blown out, then question of whether McMahon can ever handle this job starts to become very legitimate. You’re playing at HOME against a team that, at worst, has equal talent. Particularly with two key guys out. An opponent that hasn’t won a road game all season.
If you can’t at least compete with a roster that many felt (and still feel) should be decent, what in the hell are you going to do with a potentially worse roster next season?
I really, really want McMahon to succeed here and will be there supporting he and his team. But if I am being honest there has been nothing this season I can point to and say this gives a glimmer of hope for more success in the future.
