I still want to know which one of you idiots showed up at noon to the DMV on a wednesday sporting LSU gear to pick up your plates
you know you did it....
was that necessary?
really?

I was shocked to learn that there were a few people who got theirs before me since I ordered mine so quickly. The lady at the DMV disclosed that there was a man who was really obsessed with getting his....perhaps it was him

this was Travis County
mid to late 20's, clean cut, well dressed, probably there on his lunch break (as was I)
but I KNOW that he woke up that morning, knew he was going to swing by the DMV and thought...."you know, I think I'll purposely wear my purple LSU Polo today to work so that the dregs of society that work and play at the DMV will KNOW that I'm a HUGE TIGER fan - yeah....that'll show 'em, I am so cool.....damn, just think, I'll be flashing purple and gold on the inside AND the outside of my sled.....so sweet"
there wasnt ONE LSU sporting event going on that day - I checked. No women's volleyball, intramural soccer or tennis practice....NOTHING
so the only reason you wore that shirt was to pick up your plates

Texas LSU Plates are not stocked at DMV centers statewide. They need to be ordered 14-21 days prior to expiration dates of current registartion. If new vehicles are involved, you can order the plates and register the vehicle when they arrive to avoid having to replace two sets of plates. Delivery is to the main county tax assessor's offices, not home addresses.
As of 5/18, our countdown was down to 66 to complete our quota of 1900. TDoT has never had such volume in specialty plates in less than 10 months. But then again, they never knew what "rabid fans" really stood for till now.
You can go to our website, www.lsualumnidallas.com, click on the license icon on the home page and assess the on line ordering system of TDoT to order either regular or personalized plates. The support that Texas alums and fans has given us has been overwhelming and we can't thank you enough.
And to the guy who wore his purple shirt to the Travis DMV to pick up his plates......GEAUX TIGER!

Maybe he doesn't own anything but LSU tshirts. I also wear LSU tshirts on non-game days.... usually when nothing else is clean.
I picked up my plates last week (in normal clothes). LOVE THEM. I did have to remove my plate holder so the GEAUX TIGERS could be seen.

Is there any way to tell from the plate number/letters when a person ordered theirs?
