That could be. Personally I’d much rather debate X’s and O’s.

Having been to LSU and A&M games this year:

LSU D is the difference. We have seen speedy D’s but only 3 to 4 times this year (Ark, Ou, Neb and Tex) going 3-1.
A&M will have to hit the quick hitters and make them count, much like against Tex wit Cyrus busting some long runs.
I would give LSU secondary the edge, mainly b/c PP should and can shut down one half of the field.
LSU should pound Ridley, seems like JJ and J Lee were progressing until the end and it got bad quickly. JJ running could be a problem.
A&M D needs to put pressure and get to the QB otherwise that many good receivers will find openings, now getting the ball to them, who’s to say.
ST- huge edge to LSU, Bullock has been kicking great this year but Jasper is pretty automatic. Punting, we should just go for it every time.

No it isn't. It is our QB play. It has been that way the last 3 years.

I have an issue with this game, because of family members.

Somebody all ready typed it, if LSU wins no big deal.

If A&M wins, then it is ALL GLORY IN THE HEAVENS.

Y’all have managed fairly well in spite of this. But I agree if JJ or J Lee doesn’t give it away, it will be a matter of us having to score on y’alls best unit.

If the LSU offense shows up like they did against Alabama and Ole Miss, A&M will be for a long day.

Why do most posters think this will be an easy win?

Most don't. Only a few squirrels that don't know football. A&M has a good team and likely would have had about the same record playing in the SEC this season. As for the Arkansas comparison, If Hatcher doesn't forget everything he's been taught LSU probably wins that game fwiw.

Von Miller vs. Barksdale scares me. The Arly speed rusher took his arse to the woodshed......and Miller is better/faster.

The running ability of Tannehill spooks me as well considering our issues with Newton/Masoli. I actually like the shite out of Tannehill. Seems like a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. If LSU had him, we'd be in the SECCG.

"different dynamic. Ark-LSU rivalry always pulls the best out of Ark, and it was a home game

A&M is not very talented IMO...they have a short WR converted to QB. Gray is good, but PP7 will shut down Fuller who is big but slow ..rest of their WRs are white boys. Defense is improved but not very athletic"

Wow! That is probably the most ignorant post i've seen about this A&M team.

"Short WR converted to QB" - uh... He is 6'4

"Gray is good" - since C-Mike got injured, 6 100+ games rushing.

"Fuller who is big but slow" - LOL, i hope the Tigers think this way also.

"rest of their WRs are white boys" - Ignoring the blatant racism here, the only "white boy" we have is Ryan Swope who I really hope you write off as just a "white boy".

"Defense is improved but not very athletic" - ummm... Von Miller?Demantre Moore?

FWIW
Most of the LSU fans commenting in this thread are the reason why some fans of other schools think LSU fans are arrogant, obnoxious douchebags.
Way to go, assholes.

Congratulations sir, you have one of the coolest usernames on the rant.

Also, I agree with your post. Any chance Les Miles frames Crowton for stealing and gets him fired to win a $1 bet?

Von Miller plays a Joker position (LB/DE hybrid), where he will rush the QB maybe 30-40% of the time. The rest of the time he will fake blitzing but drop into coverage or come on a delayed blitz from a different angle.

So he only plays on passing downs? Cool plan.

IlikeyouBetty, not sure where you read anything about playing time of Von Miller. There was nothing said about play time. The 30-40% was how often he rushes the QB vs dropping to coverage or delayed blitz.

I guess I thought it was worded poorly is all. There is more to a DE/LB than blitzing and dropping into coverage. Sometimes they do actually play the run or have edge containment. I dont know, just old fashioned I guess, sorry.

He does a good job in crossing route coverage behind the D line and is quick to the outside, but his best attributes are his speed around the outside and his lateral movement on any running plays that try to beat our guys to the outside. He sealed the victory for us by covering an outside run against OU and also sealed it against Texas by making an interception on a tipped ball where he dropped into coverage.

Von's main weakness is that he really has no inside move. If he is lined up to rush he uses his speed and quickness to work around the TE/Guard. He has made sacks through the middle on blitz's where he doesn't get covered, but he rarely will beat a tackle by making a move to the inside when the tackle is keyed on to blocking him.
