Without reading the thread, my opinion is that his statement was a point of emphasis.
He was that wrong. I don't think he would have a problem admitting that.
Not taking up for him. Actually, his riding of Hester in '07 was equally as annoying as SFP's pimping of JR. I think they both know the taste of crow by the flock.
But, one thing they both have that many on this board lack, is a working knowledge of the game. I do tend to value their opinions more, as they have exhibited more than the passing fan's comprehension.

Apparently some people are upset that Max has people that back him up.
It is kinda sad this upsets people really it is... of course they will say "it doesn't bother me" but apparently it does since they wanna make comments about it.

How could anyone for one second feel physically threatened by someone over the intrawebbb? I have never had anyone do that to me, nor really seen anyone want to "physically harm" anyone else...maybe Mr. Clean is an exception.
