Bama can only play the schedule they have. They have dominated most every team. To say they aren't a very good team is just stupid. I choose to focus on the fact that LSU's defense, while young, hasn't played up to par. If they don't step it up Bama is more than capable of controlling the clock and keeping LSU's offense off the field. This would be a slow painful loss by a few touchdowns. If D shows up its game on.

It's always funny whenever I say that Alabama has played no one to tell us they should be without a doubt #1, they bring up LSU's schedule as if that's the focus of the conversation.

I'm sorry.. I didn't realize that talking about how BAMA performed against that schedule made LSU's schedule the focus of the conversation.

I also didn't see any mention about where I mentioned rankings.

As a BAMA fan, I am pleased to see improvement on both sides of the ball since the VT and aTm games. The O Line has come together and the D has played great. Say what you will, but shutting out two SEC opponents, with 2nd and 3rd stringers playing in the second half, is an accomplishment.

that's my point. How on earth can you guys tell if there's been any improvement with the schedule you guys have played?

I feel like you BAMA fans are actually that guy that tells you they have some muscle car that will blow everyone off the road and you show up to see what it can do and it's on blocks.

Because it is about execution. Our O-line looked like crap in the opening game. Our defense gave up 42 points in the second game.

All of the mistakes have been addressed.

BTW - I fully expect this weekend's game to be very close, like last year.

...but, of course, I am hoping for another 1/9

Oh your doing that thing...that's cute. If I don't have anything good to offer I say that too.

you probably don't realize it since you didn't have to play UGA this year, but the team LSU faced in Athens on Sept 28 was vastly superior to the UGA team two weeks later who had all their offensive weapons in the training room.

By that logic it could mean that LSU is prime to gain 500+ yards vs. Alabama, right?

How the hell did you get that "logic" out of that post?

Haven't played many good offenses and the one good offense they did face statistically raped them. Here's the QBs they've faced since Manziel during their supposed "gelling"

Tennessee: Justin Worley, Josh Dobbs
Arkansas: Brandon Allen
Kentucky: Jalen Whitlow, Maxwell Smith
Georgia State: Ronnie Bell, Ben McLane
Ole Miss: Bo Wallace
Colorado State: Garrett Grayson

Complete murderers row right there. Bro Wallace is the only competent QB of that bunch.

Didn't play as well against the Defense that is the subject of the thread as he did against the Defense you'll be bringing to Tuscaloosa. I wonder why that is?

Can we go deeper into the discussion?

The WR's they have faced since Texas A&M (and let's give them Ole Miss since they did beat LSU)

Tennessee: Marquez North (true Fresh.), Cody Blanc
Arkansas: Hunter Henry, Javontee Herndon
Kentucky: Javess Blue, Alexander Montgomery
Georgia State: Albert Wilson, Robert Davis
Colorado State: Joe Hansley, Rashard Higgins

How'd Alabama's defense do vs. Ga. Southern last year? Point being, everyone has off games, no?

So Bama's defense is some how validated because LSU's defense sucks? Gump logic.

I assure you Bama would not have lost to either of those teams

Yup.. They won't lose to teams they don't play.

The schedule argument isn't valid

Duke thinks so too. Even they beat Va Tech.

Bama played a top 15 Va Tech team
UGA is a 3 loss team. UF is a 4 loss team.

When Bama beats a team you should list their ranking. Otherwise list the losses a team has. Good strategy.

They beat Ole Miss by 25

Were there any violations for insider info by ex-Ole Miss coach?

Statistically the best quarterback they've faced since Manziel is Garrett Grayson from Colorado State.

2244 yards 15TD 7INT.

His line against Bama: 24/38 228 yards 0TD 0INT.

Mett has a better line, better WR's and a better running back than Colorado State.

Don't bring that up. They'll just laugh and say it never happened as if they know for a fact that never happened. I never brought it up because I know of the reaction.

But every little bit of info helps.
