i could not get that techno crap out of my head for 2 weeks after i went to the florida game earlier this year...they played it constantly...so i too was pissed this weekend when i heard it in TS.

How was the halftime show that bad?!? It had nothing to do with budget cuts. We all actually thought it was a pretty awesome show. We play "Eye Of The Tiger" so much on 3rd downs, it was awesome to actually perform with the guy who originally wrote and performed it.
If you don't like it, maybe YOU should try for the new Director of Bands so you can pick what you want us to play. Otherwise, it's all Roy King.

It was cumbersome. ETA, as is the techno music and pretty much everything "piped in." It just all feels out of place.

I won't defend sandstorm and zombie nation because they are the most overplayed tunes at any sporting events. I will however defend techno. Trance music is God's gift to the music world. If you don't like glowsticks then don't take them when someone tries to hand them to you.

Due to the lack of a true sound system, the speakers that were brought in just really didn't cut it and not being able to hear well really took away from the production.

Miserably. South carolina's fans practically start mating to the song before kickoff. It's an older song from around the summer of 2000 and I care not for it, but you'd think the masses would react the way other venues do. They didn't. It was a yawner.

My apologies, sir. I know it simply as "the music I dance to at clubs." I'm not an audiophile and the subtleties of the jargon escape me.

I can't believe we have large HDTV's. Tiger Stadium is becoming like every other stadium in that regard. I can't believe we also have graphics that say "First Down" and "Nice Catch". Why we even allow the camera's for ESPN that hang just above the field? And how dare we have Field Goal nets that say All State. Can't we leave the sponsorship for the programs? What's with the LED screens that have the out of town scoreboard too.
