What was Auburn ranked and what is UF ranked and compare that to what Clemson and UGA were ranked.

2 days into this work week and Bamanation (at least the one around here) is wondering how they match up with Oklahoma. They have already clinched the West and have won the SECCG and are prognosticating a BCS title game with Chokelahomo.

My two cents concerning the who is the best in the sec right now, resumes from teams and how that should be reflected on the current polls is:
A. UF, UGA, Bama, and LSU are the top 4 teams in the sec but all have new coaches, young players, or holes that make it almost impossible to determine who is really the best.
B. going to uga or the swamp and winning on the road is very difficult and amount to about the same thing.
C. While Bama did have an impressibe road win at UGA we were ranked higher and had done nothing to warrant being jumped in the polls. that said I have no problem with it as we can settle it on the field. I had the same problem with usc jumping uga earlier in the season. Also I think being defending national champs should count for something like number 1 until someone beats you.........
anyways just my two cents

You did have to come from behind and win in the last minute.
Auburn beat a 1-4 team ONLY 3-2.
They WERE lucky with the fumble in the endzone for a TD.
UT is 1 and 3 and PATHETIC.

steven4bama, I hate to break this to you but Auburn is going to beat you again this year for what the 7th or 8th year in a row. So maybe lay off the fact they won 3-2 vs moo state. Didn't you lose to ULM last year? Just a suggestion.......

Dude, that team we were "lucky" to beat has whipped Bama's arse how many times in a row? Bama has a(1) quality win over UGA and a very close call over Tolame, LSU 1 quality win over AU and a close(not really)call with Moo St. Don't care about polls right now,just saying before you claim to be the man you should at least beat the man.

LOOK, this thread has got sidetracked. Right now, LSU has a better team than Alabama. On paper, LSU has a better team than Alabama. LSU has more experienced players and more debth, BUT, I feel, based on who each team has played and how they have played, Alabama has played a little better football against their opponents than has LSU. I am not declaring ANYTHING. Could we get beat Saturday, HELL YEAH. Will we be undefeated coming into Baton Rouge, probably not. MIGHT, but I say 75% no. What we are talking about is from game one to today, not what will happen down the road !

This is so sad. Resorting to the rock-paper-scissors method of justifying why 'Bama is better than LSU. I'll tell you what: I don't mind for one minute Bama being ranked higher than LSU. We still meet on the field later on to settle it all. If both of us are undefeated in the SEC-W at the time then so much the better.

How can you say that ? Florida just got beat by an unranked Ole Miss team AT HOME while we just beat the #3 team ON THE ROAD. Beating a #12 1 loss (to an unranked team) UF team is a better win than beating a #3 undefeated team ?

You hate Auburn and UT and therefore are not exactly unbiased when discussing those teams. UT has played bad against UF, they lost to UCLA in OT and Auburn by 2, both on the road, i'll wager they make a bowl.
And I have Bama #2 in my poll AHEAD of LSU.
