TCU was still able to mount the 30th best run defense in the nation last season.
How many good running offenses did they face?

loses at linebacker with minimum depth considering only one year in current conference to recruit from will make this year's run D possibly weaker than years before. Despite wide reaching loses in D and lots of inexperience TCU was still able to mount the 30th best run defense in the nation last season.
We shall see what happens in 22 days
I don't know much about your team outside things that I've heard because I haven't watched any highlights or y'all play. Notwithstanding, 30th is inaccurate. According to the NCAA stats, you ranked 10th against the run behind LSU's 9th, Michigan State's 8th, Stanford's 5th, Florida's 4th, and Alabama's 1st; this goes to show that your rushing defense is respectable perhaps formidable, but we'll have to wait and see.

Why don't you look it up? Then come back and tell me how nothing matters anyway because TCU is a nobody and only one conference holds the cards and all other teams make pointless comparisons.

How do you deal with being over here on a regular basis? Yikes.

I was born and raised a Tiger fan. can you see my sig picture?
That being said I avoid the Rant most of the time but this game has sucked me back in short term. There is a large contingent of Tiger droppings rantards that even now would be happy to replace Miles. I can be found over on the Outdoor Board most of the time.
I will say that TD has such a wide demographic and large following both in total number and in geographic location that I get 99% of my news from this site and it usually scoops mainstream media.

Fair enough. Knew that, but there seems to be a wee bit more groupthink delusion over here than I normally see elsewhere.

True.
There are also some professional trolls over here and some simply ignorant people.
If post count is really high and reasoning seems lost then there are three options
troll
delusional

While TCU faced off against against some of the best rushers in the nation, their defense also had to defend against the following top 40 ranked passing offenses so they couldn't just sell out to stop the run:
#2 (Texas Tech)
#4 (Baylor)
#5 (Oklahoma)
#7 (Oklahoma State)
#10(West Virginia)
#37(Virginia)
LSU faced the following passing offenses:
#13 (Clemson)

The bottom line is that Miles likely made the decision to let Hill return and knew his team would vote him back on. He likely did this for the effect. The bottom line is all coaches do things like this for effect and it really was out of line for Patterson to voice an unprovoked opinion about it. Because the LSU players are unable to speak to media about such an incident the statement by the players to patterson will likely come in a few weeks. All in all, Pattersons decision to make the statement was the worst coaching mistake in my opinion. Should have made it after the game if he had to say something.

You don't think having to play 17 true freshman and losing 3 key offensive players to suspensions/injuries played any part of that?
Do you know who played the 2nd most freshman in the country?

Try and justify your claim of TCU by 2 TD's all you want, but the fact of the matter is that we have three times as much talent and twice as much depth. I could care less what you did against the 35th ranked rusher in 2012. When it's gametime, it'll be TCU's front seven vs LSU's O-line and backs. Good luck.

TCU....the offenses are so good..that is what makes the defenses so bad.
Got it!
I cant imagine the offenses are just ok, cause the defenses suck.

Saying TCU will win by 14 is more dumb than saying LSU will win by 14.
This has the makings of a 20-17 or 17-14 game. Vegas total is only 42.5 so points will be at a premium.

It's very hard to predict the outcome. Look at the 2007 VTech game. LSU had a new offensive coordinator and was expecting a tough battle against a stingy defense.

I tend to agree. Miles teams have started the season slow most years.
There is something different about this LSU squad though. All of our players seem furious at the national disrespect.
I can tell you this, if tcu can keep this game close, look out big12. This LSU squad has an enormous chip on their shoulder.
