Living here in the ATL 2003 was so sweet! So much crap Dawgs fans talked to me before that game and even up until 2003 SEC CG when they seeked their revenge. I made sure to fly my LSU car flags for a full week after the SEC CG. Mauck to Green TD is one of the best plays in the history of TS and for our entire program.

Every fan in stadium had nothing but chest back then

Arguably the turning point in LSU becoming a national power. I vividly remember that game. Quite frankly, UGA dominated the first half in every area but the scoreboard. Missed FGs, turnovers deep in LSU territory kept LSU in the game. Then after the long TD pass to put UGA up late, LSU fans did something they hadn't done in a long time. Instead of just accepting defeat, they got behind the team for one last push.
This. I've only read down to this post so far, but what this post, and the one's above said, are spot on. Back on the national scene. As good of a Tiger Stadium environment as there ever has been (I wasn't there, just saw it on TV, but remember the announcers even commenting on the Georgia score PUTTING THE CROWD IN THE GAME, as opposed to taking them out). Even watching at home, I remember the beginnings of that "kicked in the feeling" that had become too familiar start to take hold the longer that Ga running back ran after catching that little screen, then I remember it going away and thinking "man this team seems like a team that hates to lose."

I loved when we knocked out Greene and they had to temporarily put in the FR deep in their own territory. Lavalais and crew wrecked his shite! I'm guessing he may still have nightmares of TS.

A great defense and a qb that just didn't make mistakes.
Revisionist history?
I love, Love, LOVE the 2003 Tigers and Mauck. But to say that Mauck "just didn't make mistakes" is laughable at best, and completely disingenuous.
ETA (had to look it up to get stats right): 13-22-2 INT in BCS-CG. Go watch that game again (and several others) and you might want to revise your statement.

Yes I was at the Ole Miss game and Mauck definitely made a mistake at the beginning of the game.

Completely off topic... and prob not what you were referring to, but was that the game where we kicked off BOTH halves because someone botched the call on the coin toss?

Mauck was way more of a gun slinger than a game manager. He made a lot of plays and a lot of mistakes

Ok you will say anything to bash a Saban coached team. Gfy.....

He threw 14 interceptions while setting the LSU touchdown record.
Has absolutely nothing to do with Saban
Has absolutely nothing to do with Saban

You never let a silly thing like facts or stats get in the way of your brilliant opinions
