i'm not sure if he'll go overseas because of his kids.

he got drafted, Tazmin probably won't

how so? he might be able to play for a couple of years, but he doesn't have explosion any more

Money talks, and money will do the most for his kids and family - he'd be a fool not to provide the best life for his family.

You said that basketball is not in his future

he's not NBA material

So which NBA franchise do you work for?

Give me a break. If he's not NBA material, he would not be all SEC and would not be throwing his name into the hat.

why wouldn't he throw his name in the hat?

2nd round picks aren't even guaranteed contracts, and tweeners don't usually work out. especially ones without quickness

the same could be said for you

he hasn't declared. i just spoke with lsu. they are looking into it, and weighing possibilities, but no announcement has been made, other than this website saying it.

Best of luck to Tasmin and thanks a million for staying home to play for the Tigers.
Hope to see you next season but if I dont it's probably because you've got guaranteed money.

It always amazes me when the rantards talk about LSU guys draft status in professional sports. There are a bunch of guys that think GT and CJ will make the league.Taz should not consider leaving if he's not guaranteed to be a first round.Since that will never happen he will come back and try like hell to improve his game facing the basket. He has an outside chance to be drafted at all next year if he shows some improvement in his range and handles.Great tiger, but will never get a big contract in the league, certainly no shame in that.

Taz is not projected to be drafted in the NBA draft. He will return to inflict severe damage to the SEC....again!

Dude needs to develop a consistent three point shot, but more importantly for him, he needs to get his degree. "Most go pro in something other than sports" Tasmin, listen to the commercial, bro.

Tasmin Mitchell declares for the draft

I hope he stays cuz I love his game, and we're sure as hell gonna need him. But can you blame him for thinking the grass is greener...he's been here a long time. He's our "insert college athlete here who has seemingly been around since the mid-90's" guy.

this is a really weak draft and even so, i dont think he would get drafted. maybe another year of putting up similar big numbers will help him garner some more love from the nba people.

How would it improve?

He could do like Bobby Brady did in that episode where he was trying to get taller...remember that one? He would hang from a bar for hours every day...really...I think that's what Taz should do. Then he could go into next year's draft as a 6-9 PF ...

man the thought of not having tasmin makes me sick...this will easily be the worst team we've had in over a decade...probably before the brady years

Don't underestimate Trent Jonhnson's coaching ability. Also if Taz is coming back, LSU has 2 proven starters in Bo and Taz (all-SEC this year), plus a 4**** shooting guard in Aaron Dodson coming in.

Our bench players will be better next year than this year also.

All we need is a big man in the middle to be a top 25 teams.

We will be in the Big Dance again. Book it. (Remember, Brady is at ASU now, not LSU )

I hope you are correct.

Why do you find it necessaryto take a gratuitous cheap shot at Brady. He has achieved more than Trent Johnson.

What if they aren't? How will you spin it? What if they are 13-15 5-11 SEC. How will you spin it?

Mitchell said Tuesday that he still has not decided on whether to return for his senior year or leave a year early for the draft.

“I’m still weighing my options,” said the 6-foot-7, 235-pound Mitchell.
