If we go yet another season of not working in time to develop a QB, I will shake my head in disbelief.

This season is what it is. This game, in the grand scheme of things, does not mean much.

What it can mean is meaningful snaps for who may be the future QB of the program.

I appreciate all that Etling has done for LSU, but it is best for the program to be ready for next year.

Let Etling start and get his applause, but the VAST MAJORITY of snaps should be taken by Brennan. Sitting on the bench isn't making us better for the future.

Down vote away.....

lol prepare thy anus for great disappointment. I think the ags give us a great game, and we don't even get Brennan in for late game snaps anymore.

O has too much riding for him to throw brennan out there in a really close game, but the bigger crime was not getting him any reps against UT and Arkansas. I doubt we seem him the rest of the season

Not gonna happen. Next year when O loses 3 or 4 games (or more) hthe propaganda machine needs to be able to say we had an inexperienced QB against that tough schedule.

The one reason you don't do it now is, if you start MB, you are pretty much telling LN that the job next year is MB to lose. The last thing we need is LN to transfer, also I think he has just as good a chance at being the starter next year.

I don't think Brennan will be starting next year anyway. I think it will be Narcisse due to his ability to run.

I find it somewhat fascinating that people think one or two more games of playing time this year will somehow make or break Brennan's future.

Put the best guys out there to beat A&M. If Brennan is actually any good he'll be more than adequately prepared for his sophomore year by taking first team snaps in the spring and summer. And that's assuming that he is able to beat out a healthy Lowell Narcisse, which is not a settled issue either.

It's not going to happen. That ship sailed 2 weeks ago.

Hell in. We need to beat them by 35. Pray Bama beats AU by 49 and State loses. Get them polls shook up

So there's a conspiracy not to play Brennan this year because O is actively considering excuses for next year? Because apparently Brennan won't be good enough to not lose 3 or 4 games whether he plays this year or not? What in the actual frick is wrong with you people?

UT makes sense based on the monsoon

No reps against Arkansas is inexcusable

Nobody is saying make or break, but you would be hard pressed to convince me that a young player getting meaningful snaps is bad for his development

A couple of things: First off-you’re wrong. It’s not about getting Brennan reps, it’s about winning the game. DE gives us the best shot to win.

Secondly, Narcisse will beat out Brennan next year to lead him this team.

Sorry

This Narcisse talk is wild speculation and based in nothing (that I am aware of)

If he was so good, he would have taken the Brennan snaps this season.

Whomever next years starter is,will have plenty of time to prepare. Between the extra practice for the bowl game. Also the spring and fall practice. aTm needs to be a win at all cost.

Edit:Let the battle be settled at that time.

That very few snaps, none of Which indicate he is so much better than Narcisse.
