Joe is the most outstanding player, QB or not. It’s his under either of those definitions.

Talking Heads? You mean Herbstreit and the Ohio State crowd. Herbstreit wants all of the early Burrow voters disqualified.

quote:

You’re asking if there is something to worry about due to an ESPN segment

The 'worry' was that the rhetoric was going to take away votes and he wasn't going to win by the largest margin in history(OJ Simpson). I don't want him to just win it, want him to take all the records.

quote:

that is happening weeks after votes have been tallied.

Is there some cut off date? From everything I've heard the votes are all sent in at different times at the discretion of the voter. I doubt there are many people that hadn't turned their votes in by today which is why I said I wasn't worried about what they were saying today but instead, the week leading up to today.

quote:

There’s nothing to worry about.
Joes winning and who cares about anything else.

Never said he wasn't.

quote:

The word concern is literally in your frickin thread title

Concern. Concern for what, specifically? Because up to this point, everybody has been wrong about what I meant by 'concern'. They assumed they knew what I meant and then proceeded to ignorantly chastise me about it.

quote:

I mean look at this statement and tell me you weren’t asking if ESPN was trying to influence voters this year you dolt

quote:

I'm starting to get a little concerned that they're trying to shape the narrative

To influence enough voters so that Joe doesn't win in a landslide and sets the record the most lopsided Heisman win.

quote:

to influence the voters and buck the trend and vote for a guy like, let's say Chase young, a defensive end instead of just the best quarterback.

And reduce the number of votes needed for him to break the record for the most votes in Heisman history.

quote:

But feel free to keep trying to convince everyone that they are crazy and you’re the right one

Which is why I let y'all go on and on about it for three pages. To demonstrate the necessity for better reading comprehension programs at the elementary level of Louisiana schools.

not a concern. The votes have been in for days/weeks. My neighbor is a voter. He voted for Joe. Done deal.

It’s amazing that in your head, it’s more likely that literally every single other poster “misread” your post than it is that YOU misrepresented what you were trying to say or have changed the goal post when you started getting dunked on.

I think it is shitty for a voter to use his vote to make a point about the award instead of voting for the truly most outstanding player. Unfortunately I think some will use their vote to stir the debate, others simply to be a contrarian. So I understand your point

FINALLY, someone gets it!

Imagine how many people you could get to agree with you if you could’ve effectively presented your point

Best case scenario: Joe wins the Heisman and goes on to win the NC

Worst case scenario: Joe loses the Heisman and scores so many points in the playoffs the opposing teams shut down their programs and we win the NC.

We win either way but I hope Joe gets his recongnition.

Whatever makes you feel better about your reading comprehension issues.

Like I said, now knowing what I really meant, because I fricking told you just now, go back and read my original post and tell me it doesn't make perfect sense.

See, it's a funny thing when you go into something with an idea, an assumption. It's going to be pretty hard to convince you otherwise afterwards.

Agree with what?

You see, this is part of the problem. So many people think the world is divided up into people jockeying for attaboys.

I simply asked a question because I lacked the experience in watching Heisman coverage.

Calm down Kansas fan. I know the Jayhawks aren't doing anything right now but I'm sure you can find something more interesting to do with your time than hanging out on this terrible OP

Just a quick count down the list of winners, 83 years and 33 were QBs. Looked like more than 33 were RBs. Just saying... maybe Larry it’s been heavily QB, but not overall.

You have a Kansas logo next to your name. Well, I guess it's Kansas. Hard to see on my phone.

Were they? Well that certainly helps.

Would have saved a lot of trouble if somebody would have just mentioned that in the first page instead of three pages of shitposting.

A few other posters attempted to convey this, thus the slow ALL caps communication??
