my GM is an Aggie and so is my F&I Director. F&I is mouthy, but hes only 5'4 so I'll attribute his mouth to that.

My GM(that watched every aTm and LSU game) is fairly nervous.

Cautiously optimistic is how I'd describe myself. I think it's gonna be a great game.

I haven't talked to a single person on either side that thinks the Aggies will "have their way" with LSU on offense or defense.

Many Ags think we'll win, but that's what fans are supposed to think.

I think it could go either way.

I will second this.
Any A&M fan that uses the phrase "have our/their way" when talking about A&M football either doesn't know much about football or is a very very new Aggie fan.

I would say for myself I am excited and nervous well before optimistic or encouraged.

I think I will have to sell my house if we loose and move back to Louisiana. I just won't be able to listen to it from my friends over here in TX.

I work with a mess of Tigers, Longhorns, and Aggies in Beaumont.

I would say every Aggie hopes for a win but thinks it's probably 60/40 or 65/35 in favor of a Tiger win.

We won't "have our way" with you guys if we do win...it will have been a hard-fought game with ups and downs.

Most Aggies where I work are cautiously opptomistic and very pumped to be in a relivent Nationally televised bowl game.

Tiger fans are starting to talk and wear the colors today.

Now if the Tea sips were on the come back trail I could not stand to listen to those MFers.

Bingo. Going to every game between 2003 and 2008 has slowly erroded any chance I have to be arrogant about A&M football ever again.

I'm cautiously optomistic, and I think it should be a great game. But, I just want to see us play well, play smart, and play hard on a big stage for once. Getting a win on top of that would just be gravy. BUT, if we get embarrassed on national TV yet again, I'll be the really drunk one...you'll know me when you see me.

I'm sure there are a few idiots that think this, but aggies that know football think this is going to be a defensive struggle. Other than Ole Miss and Arkansas (a score that was inflated by two unlucky plays), the LSU defense has been stout as hell. You have several all conference players and of course PP shuts down a good chunk of the field by himself.

I live in Bryan/College Station, and have not talked to a single Aggie, current or former student, that thinks A&M will run roughshod over LSU. Most Ags are, like aggiealphamale said, cautiously optimistic for this game. We've been down for so long as a program that we're desperate for anything to signal things are going in the right direction, and the way we closed out the season (especially our OU and Nebraska wins) was an extremely positive signal. Just go back and look at a couple youtube videos from Aggie fans in the stands at Kyle for our win against Nebraska. That's not a crowd with supreme confidence that their team will "have their way" with any and every opponent--that's a crowd desperate to the point of insanity for something good to happen. And like many Ags here have intimated, if the Ags somehow get a lead or it's close down the stretch in the fourth quarter, it'll be hard to keep the roof on Jerryworld.

I, for one, just want to see a well-played, no quit game from the Ags. Don't get me wrong, I want us to win, but mostly I want to see this team play to it's full potential, and may the better team come out on top.

They dont understand that the LSU defensive team speed is like anything they have seen this year. I expect they will be very suprised at the usual playmakers of Nevis, Peterson, Shepard and Mathieu.......

They will DEFINITELY challenge LSU DB's and well, with that QB they are 5-0 against VERY good teams. I am saying if our QB's do not have time to pass and can't make plays, we lose this game. It is simple, they will fill the box and beat us. That LB is WAY to good for them.
