Crazy Saturday. I love this sport.

Who would’ve thought Georgia, Ole Miss, and LSU would all of had a lost at the end of September. Crazy.

1. Ole Miss will be coming to Baton Rouge to play its third straight SEC game after traveling on the road to USCE next week. We have them at the best time you could. Capitalize there and win and you are a top 12 team and tracking for the playoff.

2. The win @ South Carolina looks great. Kentucky beat Ole Miss and kept it within one with Georgia. South Carolina whooped them.

3. Our defense isn’t good. It’s also not bad. We are the best when we play in the STAR formation like we did against USC. They certainly aren’t going to be shutting anyone down but they will make plays and keep us in games.

4. The loss of Harold Perkins isn’t as horrible as it may sound. His lackluster production should be reasonable to replace. We have lots of players in that front 7 to fill in.

5. Nussmeier needs to dial in that deep ball. Seems to be overshooting a lot. Also the turnovers we were so worried about prior to the year reared their ugly head today. He’s probably the least concerned I am for a player on the LSU roster but would love to see him put it all together at Ole Miss.

6. Caden Durham is the elite RB we’ve all been so desperately asking for. He showed us at South Carolina. Proved himself at UCLA. And absolutely arrived today. Have a feeling there’s going to be Durham jerseys worn in tiger stadium for years.

Yep. If Harlem Berry is the next Percy Harvin like we think he might be then Durham and Berry could become the best tandem of running backs at LSU ever.

We had Fournette and Guice together for a year, didn't we? Neither of these guys will be as good as either of them.

No, but I think they are going to have to figure out how to force at least 2 turnovers against OM and Bama to win those two.

Not so fast, my friend. You’re talking about 2016, and Fournette was not in as good of a playing form as he was during 2015 when Guice was just a freshman. If Fournette was healthy in 2016 it could have been the best.

Sounds crazy, but maybe we scheme ourselves out by trying to cater/find a position for him.
