So Jake, you are talking about all these teams getting better over through the year is why they will beat LSU. Do you not think LSU will make any improvements? If not then you are either really thick headed and 100% against the coaching staff or just retarded. Go ahead and put all your money on the teams that play against LSU and I promise you will be a very poor man when the season ends.

It's not that at all. We lose more than them. We lost our top player at every level of the defense. We also played them at home which most betting people give 3 points advantage. At Tiger Stadium it’s more than that but whatever. They then hired, IMO, the best offensive coordinator in the country, and we hired someone solid. That is worth easily more than a 3 point advantage, but we’ll say for easy math it’s just a 3 point swing for them. That’s a 6 point swing for them, and we won by 6 points last year.

I know that’s tremendously oversimplifying things, but that’s why I think this game is a toss-up.

I took you nuts to win the SEC.

Take off your homer hat and will I be right?

Only if we can win the SEC with 2+ losses. So probably not.

You might want to check the stats, considering they only had 177 yards of total offense against us last year.

that was in teh second half. the game was 14-17 at one point. I was there. I saw what went down as the game progressed.

I would pick Lsu for this reason, auburn, bama, and Arkansas all have new starting qbs. Our schedule should allow 1 loss which we will certainly have. We have the worst senior qb rotation in Lsu history but with a summer to work on them Steve Kragthorpe should be able to raise the preformance of Jefferson and lee to at least a C plus and that's really all we need, with our defense and power running game. There is no clearcut team this season Lsu is a solid pick!

I FULLY AGREE with this! I said we win the SEC. I said that MSU WVU and Oregon will all give us fits. If we split our first 4 games and win the SEC, I will call it a VERY successful year provided we get better QB play.

Also, this no talent argument people are spouting off is just idiotic. Sure he won't have a dominant Justin Blackmon go-to guy but I could make the argument the other WRs at WVU are better than those at Oklahoma State.

I'm not gonna go on paper and say we'll lose (gotta see how we play Oregon first), but some of yal act like we're playing Troy. Why is it so hard for some of yal to grasp that we might lose on the road to a team who was atleast within striking distance against us this past year in our house when we lost the best player at every level of our defense (Nevis, Shep, Peterson) and will either be starting one of the most incumbent QBs in SEC history or someone with no starting experience while they have a QB who's started tons of games and just hired the best offensive coordinator in the land? Seriously what is difficult to grasp about that concept?

THANK YOU!

Bama is no more loaded than we are. I don't have to be a homer to say that. We have plenty of talent to win it. It all depends on qb play, dline play and lb's

Even if our defense is not as good as last year, the offense MUST be more productive, and that means at QB- can JJ be somewhat consistent all year long?? I still have my doubts...

Try again, they scored a whopping one touchdown in the second half on a 30 yard drive that was the result of an interception. Their longest drive of the game was their second posession where they drove the ball 67 yards. Also, they only had 177 yards for the ENTIRE game. So much for that memory/theory of them moving it up and down the field in the second half.

I was there as well, and we completely shut their offense down, it was non-existant. Their offense was not a problem at all, our offense was our problem.

Will all depend on the defense again. LSU's defense was stellar in that game.

you might want to start taking ginkgo biloba to help that memory loss...that 177 was THE ENTIRE GAME...

I think LSU has as good a chance as bama. both teams are loaded with talent. Also I think you guys have a good team, but LSU has a very high winning percentage against OOC teams, I am sorry LSU beats WV

WVU will be a disater. That "Coach in Waiting" crap NEVER WORKS. The lack of leadership will make up for the fact that its at WVU. PLUS LSU has a very good road record. We Win! You lose! Deal with it!!

Les has to win the West this year. Bama is 21-3 in the regular season in the SEC the last 3 years and also has 2 of the last 3 West Titles. Les has to prove to me he can win Titles with his recruits. 14-10 isn't gonna cut it anymore. If we are so loaded then there are no more excuses. If he doesn't get it done this year the he starts to hear he can develop his recruits and win championships with them. This is Les's year

All of us checked out the Alabama spring game and came away impressed. The Tide is loaded.

Last season Bama had a impressive Spring scrimmage as well, had a starting QB coming off a NC year, a HT RB, and a AA/All SEC WR, a coach with 2 NC since 03, and they finished 4th in the West.

I don't have a HOMER HAT. But WVA is a minute steak for LSU. LSU IS the loaded team in the SEC this year. Most experience at the MOST importatnt position on the field. YES QB. JJ may not be great ,but IF LSU gets by the Ducks, ITS on and I just don't see them losing.

And our O was what? How will JJ Play this season will make or break this team this year. On the road in morgantown is not TS. Please tell me why or even HOW we were that much better than this team last year? Our D will not be as good without our top 4 D players.

Yes jake this team is loaded with talent and the defense will be if anything better in fact I will be surprised if it is not quite a bit better. The D will be hard to run on and the secondary as a unit probably the best in the country
