Tailgating question

I am only able to make it to a couple of games a year. I usually go with a few friends and we always end up hanging out at someone's tailgating area. We usually bring our own alcohol but in order to not be that guy (the moocher) what is appropriate to bring to the host? I was thinking a couple cases of beer. What say the rant? Smartass comments are expected and welcomed.
