you keep failing to mention that when it happened the first time the people that took it the next game where tailgating 10 feet away at the time. we talked to them and they knew of the entire situation. yet the next game they come on friday and set up on our usual spot before your even allowed to. then don't show up til noon on gameday.

I forgot about that.

SO the fricko's did it on purpose...hmmm.

Im going to bump this yr old thread for couple reasons.

#1) change subject from qbs, its getting nausiating.

#2) first home game of the year is in 4 days.

#3) outside some of the tough guy responses from several posters it was a good thread that had some good info.

I don't think roping off an area, with out actually setting up in the spot, makes it your spot. Ropes (and tarps on the ground,) don't mean shite. Only actual stuff set up, like areas under set up canapies, space that tents and RV's actually occupy (with reasonable amount of room in front of them, about 10', maybe less as overcrowding starts occuring) constitues 'your space'.

i only read the first page. how did the rest of this thread go for you?

we ,like many,have been in the same spot for years(17).we tailgate next to 2 other krewes and have been in the same spot next to them the entire time.there are plenty of excellent spots,but tailgaters are territorial so i suggest the following:

1 tailgate in a somewhat crap spot this weekend;
2 around 2 pm walk around and scout your ideal tailgate location;
3 if you see some room/space talk to the people around there and ASK--more likely than not they will say come on over;
4 find out from them what time they set up;
5 i suggest that you set up tables,tents and chairs friday at 5 pm(buy a steel cable and pad lock.run it through everything and it will be fine);and
6 return the next morning with ice chests and cooking supplies(early mornning).

suggestion--there are plenty of good spots across from Lockett and the design building in front of the old mens dorms(hatcher and the building next to it).they are all in the shade and have protection from most bad weather.only hing is you have to get there early saturady mornig to drive in withyiur food,cooking stuff and icechests b/c of the new traffic control(unless you have a parking pas).

AGAIN,DONT JUST ROLLL UP FRIDAY IN SOME SWEET LOOKING SPOT AND THINK YOU HAVE HIT THE MOTHERLOAD.SOMEONE HAS PROBABLY BEEEN THERE FOR YEARS.IF NO ONE HAS SET UP THERE BY SATURDAY 8 AM--THEN STAKE A CLAIM.
