No, just keeping your arse in your seat for the entire game will suffice.

Why are you comparing the atmosphere and game interest of the best players in the world (NFL) to college kids who play football in which a small percentage of them will even make it to the NFL?

LSU football will always be about the full tailgating experience with the game being a culmination of a fun day cheering for 18-22 year old kids with a pretty sloppy on field product.

Of course the fans are going to be more into an NFL game than a college football game, especially when that game is Saints-Falcons with huge playoff implications. Use your head.

What is funny is that you are spot-on and everyone is ragging on you for it.

Been to several Saints games in last few years, of varying importance. People are there for the game.

Been to almost every LSU home game for years. People are there for the event, part of which is the game, but for many people the game isn't any more important than the tailgate/party/walk around campus. They leave early because they have done what they came to do already.

Overall atmosphere for the day-- LSU game in a landslide.

Actual in game atmosphere-- probably Saints unless it is Bama or a good SEC team.

Tailgating is great, but when it becomes more important than the game itself, that's a problem. It's a matter of casual football fan vs. serious football fan.

Oh Jesus. Who cares?

You nailed it. And many of the newer generation LSU fans are more concerned about posting on social media that they are tailgating and/or are at the game than the result of the game.

You’re probably one of those people who set up an extravagant tailgate, then like most Lsu fans, leave at halftime.

Nope. I live too far away to go to games very often, I just don't understand the issue. I get that it makes some of you feel better about yourselves. You get to differentiate yourselves from others over something arbitrary like football, and pretend that you are a special class and have some sort of special insight. At the end of the day, it's pretty meaningless.

We tailgate every game. I go to 2 home games a year.
A 12-14 hour day outside is just to much.

This is representative of the average LSU fan. Hence why the tailgate and full day experience for college football is just as important as the game in most people's eyes.

That was the point that OP was making.

No, the OP was taking an extra step by assigning qualitative assessments to each group.

It's kind of funny to watch the kids try to come in this thread and talk shite to Jeff considering his history here and at the school.

I'm not talking about his post, although I understand what he's trying to say. I'm talking about the idiots trying to act like he's some sidewalk t-shirt fan.
