False. Miami fans were hoping g they crashed and burned. They did and got Mark Richt who has them on the right track. Same thing with Michigan fans and the finally got Harbaugh.

What in O's past makes him a good dude? There is not one genuine bone in his body. And now with the reports of the backstabbing of Miles?! He is a used car salesman.

In. The bigger the crash and burn, the quicker this shite show is over.

I got destroyed on this board for saying the exact same thing about Miles and Johnny Jones last year.

Of course this is correct. If a coach (or any other leader of an organization) is the wrong fit, it's better if things go very bad, very quickly, to get them out fast so you can turn things around quickly. Letting them linger is the worst thing that can happen.

Some short term pain is worth it for long term gain.

I guess we deserved what we got- you can the winningest coach in program history, following a 9 win season, in midseason for losing to 2 solid programs, that just wasn't a good look.

Scoob - we fired Miles for going 15-11 in the SEC (10-10 against the West) his last 3+ years.

9-win seasons don't mean much with that conference record.

Would you rather slowly lose recruits, money, and prestige over the next 3 seasons and end up at the same point, OR, lose it all now and start with the rebuild now so that in 3-4 years we're back being competitive?

I hate Florida with a white hot passion, but I consoled myself after the game last year that at least the Ogre Threat would be dead now. Nope!

That's why it has to be so shite-tastic this time that both Alleva and Eauxf are gone in one fell swoop.

Well it won't happen more than likely, but I say let em go. There is a bigger problem here though. Do you think the BOS at GumpU quibbles over the importance of the football team and the coaches salary? That to me is the biggest issue aside from a incompetent coach and AD. Louisiana politics at its' finest.

Answer: it depends.

Ideally, TRUE. You should never have to pull for your team to lose in fear that the AD will make a bad decision if they win.

An administration should NEVER make a hire or fire (or not to fire) decision based on the outcome of a game. In that situation, people can have faith that they can pull for the team to win at all times without the administration making an emotional hire/fire/don’t fire call based on the outcome.

Let’s look at Joe Alleva:

2015. Les Miles is going to be fired. Great, we can pull for LSU to beat A&M!
We win the A&M game. Les carried off.
Oops...we kept Les based on that win.

2016. Interim HC Ed O is temporary, Joe is gonna do a proper search and get a proven HC. He won’t hire Ed just because he wins most of those games, though he might get consideration if he wins out. We can pull for LSU to win. Ed loses to Bama and Florida, no way he’s gonna be coach. We can pull for LSU.

Oops. Now we are saddled with Ed Fricking Orgeron...and with an insane buyout.

Yeah, frick you Joe for making us pull against LSU because you’re an emotional baby back bitch who makes long-term decisions based on the outcome of a game.

False, when you want the LSU team headed in the right direction overall then nothing wrong IMO for the fiery crash.

Miserable fans are gas on the fire. And recruits are feeling it. Sunshine pumping isn’t the answer, but non stop bitching isn’t either.

if someone could please tell me how these negative tantrums help LSU
constant negativity from those who just want to pound their chests and say they were right

we are in trouble, but I refuse to live my live in negativity.

It is not that some can not entertain the idea that we may win a few games, it is that some, who call themselves LSU fans, hope we do not.

Yeah man recruits care more about a message board than they care about the current state of our program is in.

Our coach and AD being complete jokes have a little less impact on recruiting than TigerDroppings.

You hit the nail on the head.
