True, and I've actually made that part of my argument on why LSU is primed to leapfrog other potential playoff teams with 2 losses and possibly a team with only one loss. It will be tight, but I believe this team will be in the playoff if they win out and Bama beats Auburn. Ironically, Bama is one of those one loss teams in that scenario that LSU would have to jump, but I think the head to head win, being the SEC champs and undefeated under O would put them in over Bama.

No it does not as the perception started before and will not end with Bama. Alabama is supposed to beat everybody. Greatest of the greatest Saban eva had.

We don't beat Ole Miss with Miles as coach. Our defense would've given up after going down early and you sure as shite know our offense wouldn't be able to make up a 10 pt deficit with a depressed defense. We are winning the games we're supposed to and how we're supposed to. That's the first step and enough of a reason to have a good outlook the rest of the way. I think we honestly run the table the rest of the year. Even if we don't, haven't felt this much optimism and hope for this team since 2012.

T for anyone who knows football and has followed LSU.

F for the rest of the country who is generally oblivious.

*IF (and I mean IF) we continue to win, those two losses will not go forgotten come selection time).

since we do look good.

Lets see how good we look after the game Saturday. 3-0 is great, but the competition has been far from great on the defensive side of the ball.

We are rushing for 240 yards per game and Alabama is allowing 70 yards per game. We have to be able to run the ball. Danny has been playing good, but if Kelly couldn't beat Alabama I don't see how Danny will.

We only win, to continue the dream, with our defense and being able run. Five Alabama turnovers would be helpful too.

I say false. I hear a lot of people still referencing our 2 losses, largely ignoring the improvements we've made since then.

I'd say it's true for the LSU fan base, however.

I truly feel we reset our season when Coach O took over. He's flipping the script.

False. The country sees LSU as a 2-loss team with an extraordinary opportunity to build a strong case for the playoffs.

If LSU is to capitalize on that opportunity, the loss to Wisconsin will loom large. Butte's cheap shot will be national discussion. 'Bama and/or Wisconsin being bumped ahead of a 2-loss SEC champion will be in the national discussion.

LSU has a looooong way to go to erase those two losses in national conscience.

If LSU loses one more, there won't be a CFP opportunity to worry about.

But run the table and you will be SEC Champion, and going to the CFP, playing your best football in November. The Wisconsin and Auburn games almost will not have happened, and they weren't the worst losses to begin with. The Auburn loss even gets an asterisk to some because we made the play to win at the end

If that's the case why have we seemingly gotten the least respect of all the major 2-loss teams? I'm including FSU who was ranked ahead of us before losing to the refs against Clemson.

Just seems to me like we're an afterthought. Lose to Bama, we're a 5-3 team, regardless of coach.

Beat Bama, you've got a strong argument that our coaching situation should be considered when discussing LSU as being a contender.
