You skipped tests for basketball games? That's retarded.

The only way the fanbase shows excitement is if a coaching change is made

No. If I had a test to study for. You don't go to college do you?

You guys said the same thing when Brady was the coach and no one turned out to watch an SEC winning team until late in the season his first year.

Consistent winners will turn fans out, not coaching changes.

Yes, I am captain obvious. I don't care if you are playing horseshoes, if you are not a winner people will not support you, plain and simple. If LSU wins, I think the support will be there. Perhaps in TJ's first year there was not, because people were so burned up from Brady, but if you win, the support will be here. The issue I have is TJ cannot recruit LA players to come here. At least Brady did that. If you can't get the talent, you don't stand a chance.

I am sure it was pretty common in the shaq/CJ days.

I concur...Someone with charisma like Bruce Pearl would bring some fans in instantly, but if his teams are as bad as Trent's than those fans won't last long.

False.

The fans that go to games are the die-hards. The fair-weather fans skipped out years ago. It won't improve, but it won't get worse.

If the team has a good year, it will improve quickly.

Galloway at St Joseph's is the only one he didn't get prior to this season who is doing well.

Markel Brown and Brian Williams are doing alright at Oklahoma State, but not setting the world on fire.

Gathers appears to be a blow, but this kid, IMO, wanted to leave the state.

Morgan is a better player than Ricardo.

If there was any young depth on the team NCAA team in Trent's first year, they could have carried some of the momentum into the following season; but it was very top heavy in regards to upper classmen. LSU is currently not a top name in CBB in regards to drawing the stud 1 & done players, so a crash back to reality was inevitable in 2009.

Suffered through two shitty seasons BTB, and now we are rolling into 2012 with a smiliar team that he had in year 1. We need to find another option at the 2G since Stringer is really only a 3 point shooter at best. Hopefully Morgan IS that guy and Turner emerges from the year long inconsistency he had in 2011.

Aleva gives TJ the 2012 season to prove his worth. I'm expecting a 11-5/12-4 SEC team at a minimum if everyone stays put and we had some more key recruits to this class. If he can somehow land Hammink, Coleman and Pelle, the 2012-13 season could be very special, IMO.

Will these guys want to come play at LSU knowing that Trent's job is in jeopardy?

Coleman is from Thibodaux, Geert loves LSU and I think his kid comes here (he was born in BR as well) and Pelle only has 2 offers at the moment.

Trent is coming back, I will hardly be excited. I'm sick of watching his brand of basketball.

I've seen Gathers a number of times and just saw Morgan for my 1st time in Ruston this past weekend.

I know I shouldn't base anything on a one time look, but I have admit I was disappointed in what that one time look showed me with Morgan.

So, I really hope you are right.

that would perk me up a little but it'd just be the same old thing on the court. maybe if trent brings someone to the staff who can add some new ideas to the halfcourt, that would help.

The Oregon halfcourt offense was really fun to watch. I really dug their style, but it bummed me out that the basically raped LSU.

Just think if by some miracle he makes it to the NCAA tourney next year...contract extension and stuck with him for at least 3 more years.

We have Morgan, and lets say we get these 3 guys. What would next years 8 deep lineup look like?
