Noonan,

I already told you what the point of my post was. If it wasn't clear to you when you first read it, fine. I elaborated afterward, and you can choose to believe me or not. I don't care.

Actually, that's not true, I do care, because this ought to be fun. I'm stuck in Boston when I want to be arriving in Athens right now. I don't need to prove anything to you, or to Brett fricking Helms (happy now?), but I was at enough LSU games in person when it was good and when it was awful that I shouldn't have to have credentials to not be mocked for bringing up a subject on this board. I was there in Athens 10 years ago, looking at a long walk back to the car and a long drive home after we went for 2 and it was knocked down. I was there in Tiger Stadium freezing my arse off during the Ole Miss game in '95 and was only colder in Little Rock in 2000 when we blew the Cotton Bowl. I was there when Faulk single handedly prevented an embarassing loss to Houston in '96, and I even know that he ran for 246 yards. But I shouldn't need to know that stat, or have to show my ticket stubs from SEC and National Championship games to be able to WRITE ONE POST without you judging whether I am worthy or not!

it matters because his whole "point" of this thread is how small T Bob is and how its embarrassing that he is our center.

This is clearly based on an assumption you have made. He said nothing about embarrassment.

maybe i am just getting defensive due to the constant crap threads lately. but either way, i think you did a piss poor job at trying to stir debate. it definitely came off as more of a shot at T Bob.

T Bob Hebert getting embarassed at an Ole Miss football camp because he's too small and gets tossed aroud by D linemen. This sounds familiar.

true, he did not say it. but saying it "sounds familiar" pretty much says he agrees. at least that is the way i took it.

anyways, screw it. i made my point that i am sick of these threads and most people in this thread agree with me.

You werent bringing up a subject, you were childishly singling out a young, first year starter at center who isnt here to respond to that nonsense about being embarrassed and tossed around etc etc. Give me a break.

TBob isnt the problem...the problem is play calling and adjusting to the defense stacking the ever living shite at the line of scrimmage. How are 5,6 or 7 guys gonna block 8 and 9 men in the box? We still dont trust JJ enough to make defenses truly pay for what they are doing on defense.

Yes, I do not like each and every thread on here. I put my mouse over the topic, see what it says, and if I dont like it, I dont click on it. Simple enough.

Okay, apparently I'm not able to determine for myself what my own point was, although I believed myself when I explained it to myself.

I was not quoting a book for the sake of bashing a kid. I was literally reading that book at lunchtime, and was struck by the connection between size concerns then and size concerns now. And by the way, I've started threads perhaps more generic than this one, and they sailed down the board with no reply, so I guess I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

So, one final clarification, I love this team win or lose. I'm not bashing the kid, I'm just wondering if you guys think the relative size of the line is an issue. I just read a post that perhaps unnecessarily called me childish, but followed that with a reasonable opinion that size is not the problem. I can respect that. Maybe I even agree, I'm not sure. In any case, I apologize if I inadvertently caused offense. Maybe now we can dispense with that subject and address the line itself.

Didn't Miller see a healthy dose of playing time also? I know it's not the point you were making, I just can't remeber if he saw that time playing C or G.

1. frick you.

2. Anyone on right now have the book? Because I have to prove to this infantile frick that I am reading the book. Apologies to T-Bob, because he's a good kid and will probably be a good player. However, I am reading the book, you prick.

Page 126

Gauging by internet hype, T-Bob was the highest profile prospect to come to any of the Ole Miss summer camps. But now, on the Rebels practice field, Hebert wasn't looking all-world. In fact, he found more than he could handle in an unheralded junior nose guard from the Bayou named Joel Ross, a 6'1", 287 pounder, who kept throwing Hebert around like a laundry sack. On four successive matchups Ross dominated Hebert, clearly overpowering him. "I wanna go again, Coach," Hebert told Kehoe, who obliged. And again, Ross ripped past Hebert, leaving him flailing at air.

Hebert looked shaken, as though he'd never seen anything like this guys who was eating his lunch. Like most of the other campers and all of the Ole Miss coaches except one, Hebert had never heard of this Ross guy before.

according to lsusport.net miller played for an injured helms. but had no starts. and he played like 187 snaps versus helms 757 snaps. so you are not far off.

as for the OP. if you really were just trying to stir debate then i do apologise. like i said, i might be just getting a little defensive due to a ton of obnoxious threads lately and i jumped on your case a little quick.
