On a smoldering Sunday afternoon at Guv Fuller Field, Harwich defeated Falmouth twice in a Father’s Day doubleheader, 8-0 and 5-1 to improve to above .500 on the early season.
Zack Hess (Louisiana State) and Kyle Brnovich (Elon) combined for a dominant, one-hit shutout in Game 1, earning the Mariners (4-3) their second straight win after three tough losses.
Hess went four innings in the win and allowed just one hit in his first appearance of the summer, while Brnovich, also in his first appearance, pitched three hitless innings to secure his first save.
Zach Watson (LSU) collected a game-high three RBIs on the heels of a monster three-run home run that made its way out of the park in deep left/center to build Harwich’s 8-0 lead.

NO doubt, and the OFF line-up. Batting order should present challenges every inning. Stay healthy amigos!

Gavin Dugas is doing well for Danville of the Prospect League batting .377 with 14 stolen bases according to LSUSports.net.

Dugas has a non-park factor-adjusted OPS+ of 142. Last year's park factor for the Danville stadium was like 82. It was an extreme pitchers park last year. I haven't done the park factors for the years before or the games this year to get a rolling average.
