As opposed to you finding the doom and gloom aspect of what has been the most successful season of our lives (so far)? We're 10-0 and you're acting like people defending miles are "sunshine pumpers". Why not just enjoy it. The season will be over before we know it.

with 80+ players these kids are promised playing time. So why not give it to them?

Why are you complaining about the offense? Why dont you complain about how we have played 32 guys on defense?

So obviously at some point in time a guy behind another guy on the depth chart has played. I guess this is un heard of in American Football.

Have it your way. Les knows NOTHING compared to YOU (and your ilk) about running a successful FBS team. He is so below you that it is not funny.

YOU know the correct rotation, etc and it is a dirty shame that HE is coaching the team instead of you. We are all cheated for having to simply get the benefit of your genius on this message board. we NEED it on the sidelines.

?????
I was actually defending why Ford has less carries than Ware and that he really hasn't had a reduction in carries, as was insinuated by the post i responded to. how could you possibly read that post, or that comment, the way you did. i did not advocate for ford to start or bash miles for not starting him. i don't think he should start because he's not as effective between the tackles and doesn't wear down the defense like ware, blue, and hilliard can. jesus christ

In the history of the program LSU has had atleast 11 wins 6 total times. Les has been the coach 4 out of the 6. Gotta get over it. He's the best coach this program has ever had and represents the LSU name very well.

it's always two extremes on how people are described on here. you're either a sunshine pumper or you aren't happy with lsu winning. no middle ground, doesn't exist. said it before ITT, but seriously the dumbest rebuttal in any thread.

I understand why Les keeps playing time and roles a secret to the media. Most people would understand that you need to keep your players motivated and to prove that no one is guaranteed any amount of time on the field. It is to be earned and competition is the only way to assure the highest quality of output.

Miles respects his opponents and takes nothing for granted. The more secrets he keeps as far as football stragety goes, I am more than fine with his half-answers and coy remarks.

Like the great legend, Al Davis..."Just win baby." 72-17 speaks volumes !!

no i post to voice my opinion. apparently you post to tell others they're not the coach, herp derp, so they shouldn't comment on anything or ever voice displeasure about anything. fwiw, i love les miles and hope he stays at lsu till he retires. does that mean i agree with every decision he makes, no. i don't see how this is such an outlandish notion for some of y'all. your opinion is that you're fine with JJ starting/playing more than Lee. My opinion is that I don't like that idea. But somehow because I disagree with something, it means I'm unhappy and the only thing that will make me happy is to bitch. I just think Lee is a better QB and the offense is better w/ him in the game. So, in turn, you come here and bitch at me for disagreeing with the coach (ironic). JL has been good all season. one bad game isn't going to make me think he's spent. bad games happen.

not to mention, i have friends that are non-lsu fans, you know, objective observers, who have said the last thing les needs to do is find an excuse to start jefferson the rest of the year. and this was after the bama game. this is not an unfounded opinion only held by a few. and it's not an opinion that equates to not being able to be happy. everyone wants lsu to win, and i think lee gives lsu the best chance at that, so why is it so crazy to say that i think jj shouldn't start if i personally believe jl gives lsu the best chance at doing just that?

So you are saying that he has a duty to the fans to disclose every detail to the fans? I trust him to make the best decisions in order for the team to win as many games as possible.

You said it, not me. Just like Archie Manning (we can agree he was a good QB, right?) was unable to win games for a crummy Saints team, conversely, an average-at-best QB (by any measure tracked for QB's) has been able to win at the helm of very good teams.

This could be an interesting topic. Similar to the debate surrounding Tebow in the league. Maybe another day, another thread, since this doesn't relate to OP.

Yeah that wasn't taken out of context or anything. How bout quoting all of it. Is mark Sanchez a better QB than "insert about any qb in the league" because his team has nearly made the SB the last couple years?

You are the one that says it is an over rated stat. I could care less if either QB goes 3-28 with 16 yards as long as the team WINS. Since when did football become about process rather than results?

it is an overrated stat when people use to say how good or bad a player is. good quarterbacks play on bad teams that don't win, and bad quarterbacks play on teams that do win. i don't know how you can even argue it. it's annoying when they use that stat to ralk about a quarterback's record as a starter but no other position. football is the ultimate team sport, and saying so-and-so qb is better because his record is _____ as a starter is a completely worthless statement. someone mentioned archie manning earlier. great example. archie manning was a great quarterback on a terrible team, and i don't think anyone would say trent dilfer was a better qb because he won a super bowl. that is where that stat is overrated, when talking about individual players. are you one of those guys that also think a win/loss record is the tell-all stat for how good a pitcher is as well?
