Considering I graduated in May, still enjoy sitting in the student section and organize a tailgate for 100...good try though.

SFP, that list ends up having a max amount of points as well.
and if i was told, as a student, that the more points i would earn to be assured of bowl tickets was to attend those sports event-i would go to as many as i possibly could.

theoretically? yes
in reality? no
i don't think that you could possibly attend every sporting event. some go on at the same time, i believe

OMFG REALLY?!

they didn't do it at the time was my original point.
I could be wrong, but I think the entire time the priority point system has been in place this has been the case. You always received points for being in the away student section. The issue prior was over getting credit for getting a credit for doing so outside of the student ticket...which is a legit complaint IMO.
But I am confused, you said I was missing the bigger picture when I said they shouldn't increase the point value of the away game. It seems all you have been talking is that people should get points. Okay, I agree with that. Next?

i have more pride and respect for this university than you ever will, you know nothing about me so please just STFU. Ive done things to represent this university at the local, state, and national level, that make this Great School what it is, so go back to your 9-5 dog making a mediocre salary with your wife 2 kids and job and let the students be students, stop trying to relive what you missed in college because you were too serious when you were here.
What are you, the fricking Joker?

Umm just FYI you dont have to be liked to throw a good party,
And if your not so serious, then why are you making such a big deal about a beachball and the wave

I helped create the point system...I'm as conservative as you can get...

In reality, the worst case for bowl ticket demand was last year. Odd year, so LOTS of good home game, combined with a national title in our backyard.
All you needed was all the home games, one away game (or was it two? I get confused because I counted Tulane an home game ), and one priority point game. There is some wiggle room.

because douchebags like you think it's cool to hit a beachball and do the wave instead of watching the game...

He thinks he is...I'd actually like to see his real resume and see if it compares to his actual one, or if he wants to create a competition...mine for that matter.

Not sure you would get much of a benefit with that type of system though. I see lots of people just scanning the card and then leaving.

that's why the "scan when you leave" system must be implemented or else the system is a farce

Correct. People were bitching about the points given for away games last year, when in reality they didn't even need to leave the state to get MNC tickets.
And the perfect scenario took place. There wouldn't be nearly the number of requests had the game been in Miami, Tempe, or Pasadena.

yea, that's why they only have like 5 minor sporting games used for points. the idea is that you'll actually attend them since its only a few a semester and take in the enjoyment of another sport.

volvagina,
calm down e-hardass. chances are you or i just misread something either of us said.
i read it as you just think all i'm worried about it earning point for the sake of earning points. not what i'm saying-i am saying as a student who wants a bowl game ticket-you would have to earn all the points possible to ensure a ticket. and away games are harder for some to get to-so, those that do go to away games should be rewarded for their efforts (and with 2x points/away game or something like that). which then separates you from the students that are just home game attenders.
