Hi folks.

I have recently purchased a Stubhub ticket for the LSU-Alabama game in November. Can I get in using my mobile or do I have to print the ticket? My email confirmation and Stubhub account tell me different things.

I am in the West Upper Chairbacks section. Is this a good section to watch a game?

I have also just discovered that getting a beer at a College Football game is a no go. Is there anyway around this? Or do you just drink more before the game?

Thanks guys. This will be my first College game and looking forward to it.

Go Tigers.

What did you pay for the ticket?

Why did you use stubhub?

The only other way I could travel between New Orleans and Baton Rouge is Greyhound. I am not sure how safe that will be though.

If it is a night game I could possibly get an earlier greyhound bus in the morning and rallybus back after the game. I have already bought my rallybus ticket and not sure if it is possible to just do the return leg of the
journey.

Another option is staying the night in Baton Rouge and getting a greyhound on the Sunday morning back to New Orleans.

I have booked 4 nights in New Orleans but I am sure I can cancel one of those nights.

My ticket was $184 after the fees added on.

I tried going down the official route first but it never seemed possible.

I am not aware of any articles written about me so probably not.

I hope you have the chance to do it one day but I find the Premier League overhyped and overrated.

It looks great.

I have done other sports on my US trips but College Football looks so stereotypically American.

I would recommend exploring the options you mentioned about getting an earlier bus and either rally back if possible or spend the night in BR.

Also, disregard all the folks who will tell you about ticket prices. If LSU shits the bed prior to the Bama game 184.00 some would say is steep, but if both teams are relevant heading in to that game, considering you are coming from afar and not familiar with the locals, 184.00 will be quite the bargain just for piece of mind of not having to “scramble” for a ticket.

Ha, that is not me but a very odd coincidence. I am also planning to go to the Saints-Rams game as well on the Sunday.

Even if we don’t have a great record going into the Bama game, it will still be a great atmosphere around campus all day. It should be a night game, so get there around 9-10am, and just walk around campus, tell people it’s your first time there, and they will give you food and beer. I guarantee you will be full and drunk by the time you walk in the stadium, without having to bring any food or alcohol yourself. As for drinking during the game, just buy a pint of something at a liquor store, and tuck it in your pants to where it isn’t noticeable when you walk in. The game is in November, so it should be cool and you can wear a jacket for even more cover. I’ve done this nearly every time I’ve gone to a game and never once gotten caught, just don’t be dumb about it. Then, buy a soda once you get inside and mix. As long as no ushers or cops see it, nobody will say anything.

ETA: Also, going around to different tailgates, you may find someone with an extra ticket in a better spot they’re willing to give to you since you traveled so far. I wouldn’t straight up ask for one, but someone may offer depending on the circumstances.

Re: Saints-Rams

I think that’s a late game after 3 PM local, so even if you stay Saturday in BR you should have no problem making it to the Saints game.

Well I have just spoken to somebody from Rallybus and I can use it just the one way if I want to. If it is a night game I will probably use greyhound to get there early. If it is afternoon I will probably stick with the rallybus both ways.

There are two possible greyhound buses I see: 8:50 - 10:35 or a slightly later one 10:15 - 11:59.

I have not got a clue how near the stadium is to the greyhound stop. I guess I will get a taxi or Uber.

Address for the Greyhound in BR is 1253 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70802

It's not far from Campus (less than 8-10 miles, if I recall, maybe closer) and an Uber or taxi shouldn't be terribly expensive....

On a Saturday morning? Even to catch a cab? It can't be more than a 15 minute drive to campus on a normal day....(although not accounting for gameday traffic...)???

Not trolling, just asking...I admit it's been a few years...

ETA: Google Maps has it at under 4 miles and a 12 min drive on light traffic days, so figure 45 minutes on gameday.
