“Strength of schedule”

If it’s true this will be the basis of deciding the two additional games and matchups, how the hell do you quantify strength of schedule without introducing bias?
I don’t see how you can go off last year’s results or anything from the past.
And since when did the SEC give a shite about equity in scheduling?
With Sankey at the head, this is likely another shite show in the making. He already missed a big opportunity to have a +1 with ACC/B12

Don’t worry, there just going to keep pushing this thing and leaving people hope until it’s to late to start and then they’ll cancel the season. No need to worry. People just need to accept that. Even if they do play, I give it two weeks before they shut it back down after players/coaches start testing positive. I don’t like it but it is what it is. Schedule doesn’t matter if you’re never going to play it.

Strength of schedule only comes into play if Bama has to play a respectable schedule. You knew they would never match them up with Ga. and Florida in the same season. You know the league has protected them since 1935.

No way it happens this year, but I'm about certain that we'll have GA added to ours!

You do realize that Sankey can't do anything by himself, right? This was the presidents and AD's.

But they do expect him to come up with plans and options, and work those out with the other conferences Etc
I have no confidence that he had any. Basically all it looks like he did was follow the Big Tens plan weeks after just about every other major conferences followed it or came up with their own.
SEC should be leading the way, not following others or ruining opportunities to set up something cool like a “sec-big12 challenge” like basketball does to have in week 1 and the last week for scheduling. He blew it

Ultimately, I think you are probably right. But at least the SEC, with the late start, will get the chance to see how other leagues/schools handle the INEVITABLE FACT some players will test positive during training camp and the season. Everyone is terrified to be the first person to stick their heads out from under the covers to see if the world is ok. This way, the SEC doesn't have to be that person. We'll see how MLB handles situations like the Marlins covid issue at the moment. Plus, the SEC will have 3 weeks to see what the other colleges do.
My thought is that the more things "open up", the louder the panic warriors will become begging for everything to be shut down again, and again, and again. I don't think Sankey has the stones to stand up to that heat (even though the OVERWHELMING majority of his customer base will want football in some capcity), but we'll see

When we beat this shite out of UGA and FLA this season, bama will not have an excuse as to who had the tougher schedule.
So I’m cool with having a tougher schedule
