Storming the field is ignorant. It also costs your university money in fines from the SEC. What does it accomplish? Besides causing a dangerous situation on the field.

If LSU fans storm the field at this point, it would be embarrassing. We are expected to be in the National Title hunt for the next few years and beyond. There should never be any more storming the field for LSU fans.

Why? Everyone keeps bringing this up. So can we get an explanation as to why this would be embarrassing? Why should we never do it again?

No, but that is one of the reasons not to rush the field. On top of the fact that the last two or three times it was done, 10's of thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to the field and goal post.
That's the way to show your team you support them???

The question was in reference to the people posting before. It was directed toward the reasons people were giving like, "We've been here before," "we are championship contenders," etc. Do you need me to type slower, so you can follow the post?

Last year, when we (SC) played Oregon, we had a backup QB, Oregon was ranked higher, was favored to win and they still rushed the field when they won. They looked like retarded Martians. Screaming, flailing, green little idiots.

Those jackasses at ASU rushed the field like 4 times last year. Idiots did it after they beat unranked Cal

I went on to the field in 01 against Tennessee and it was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Everyone was so excited. Unless you were there that night, or in 97, you really can't understand it.
But I did NOT go on the field after MSU or Bama, and was a little upset that people did. That is a special thing that should be done on VERY rare occasions.
I'll never do it again, because I'm not a student anymore, but I have to say, had we beaten Arkansas last year, I would have loved to see the student section storm the field. After such an amazingly emotional season, seeing the students and the players celebrating being a game away from the title game would have been a great scene.
If we are ever in the top 2 and beat Arkansas to finish the season, I think that would be the only time that storming would be acceptable IMO.
We should NOT storm if we beat UGA even if they are #1. Hell no.

rushing the field is for when you do something completely out of the ordinary. winning is not new to us.
