They haven't really faced a stiff run defense yet this year, and with our depth, they won't have the typical benefit of wearing down our linemen in the 2nd half. They'll have to earn every yard.

I think LSU has set up Bama pretty well to try to stop the run between the tackles. Look for a lot more running outside with our faster backs.

Please do not say the short-side option.

You keep up with the rushing yards and stats, we'll just keep watching the scoreboard. That's all that matters. We'll be right there and you won't be able to figure out how.

All this is why I think we need to plan on scoring 30 points in order to win at Bama.

LSU stopped La'Michael James, the nations leading rusher. I would expect nothing different on November 5th.

Oh God no! Let's just let Ford and Blue get to the edge.

UF backs could not reach the outside and edges on Alabama so im sure LSU's back will not either. LSU's best chance is to run up the middle, which is highly unlikely.

I agree but TR is a much different runner than LMJ. TR is like SW - they are violent runners and would rather run you over than try to outrun you. LMJ is a speedy back and does well in space - he would rather make you miss and avoid the hit.

'Bama's D isn't as deep as LSU's and with SW laying the lumber - Ford/Blue and possibly Magee will reap the rewards from that.

False on many accounts.

Trent > LaMichael James. Trent is more physical, yeah I agree james is good but Oregon's Offensive line is not on par with LSU's d-line, much less UA's o-line. Richardson will have 150+ 2 TD's on LSU.

FIFY.
I would not compare Florida's team with LSU's team this year.

What game this year makes either team think that they are far superior to the other, on offense or defense?

The only game that has any sort of transitive property is last year's Bama/LSU game. Both teams return alot of the same players. So, you're "highly unlikely" comment is off-base considering relevant facts.

It's quite apparent that you haven't watched much football this year...or maybe in the short time you've been on this planet.

Ware will run up the middle and be quite successful. I suspect a halfback-option-pass will be in the equation at some point. Draw the defense up with a run to the outside, pull up and burn them with a pass over the top.

I was worried about this last year, but we found a way to line up and stop them. Sheppard was pretty instrumental in that aspect, so we need someone to step up there. I don't think Richardson will have a huge game against us.

You can have the regular dline with 2 LBs and have Mingo out there as a standup DLineman going to different positions. We can really probably put 8 in the box, and let Mathieu and Claiborne go man to man with a safety over the top. Occasionally bringing in Reid and Loston in run support

Could the coaches perhaps experiment playing to our strengths to stop Bama's power run game with putting a 5-2 type of scheme out there with a big boy in the middle, Anthony Johnson at 6'3, 310 for instance, Brockers and Logan flanking him while we have our typical ends out there in Adams and Montgomery?

I feel like I've seen us do this before, maybe last year.

In base 4-3 we're a little light in the middle with Brockers at 6'6, 306 and Logan at 6'3, 287.

I think these guys are pretty strong, despite their weight. I'm not as worried about size disadvantage on the first level.

But we need more from our LBs.
