Nobody on this board KNOWS what LSU has and doesn’t have in order to buy out any coach.Only the powers that be AD,BOS,BIG BOOSTERS,know what’s going on.All this speculation by us fans IS BS and dreams.Let things play out and get a grip.

Not that its a 1:1 comparison but I believe SW is hardheaded when it comes to his decisions and sticking by them, even when the evidence suggests otherwise and is staring him right in the face. For the record, I'd love a new coach, just don't think its happening this year.

He could, but doesn't necessarily have to. He just has to make a good-faith effort to find such employment. He could work as an "analyst" (NCAA or NFL) for $200k. Or in another AD for a less than $1M salary knowing LSU still has to pay him (minus the offset)
The benefit of taking the money up front, even a lesser amount, it to get it all now rather than spreading out the payments. Regardless, LSU doesn't have much leverage to "cheaply" fire BK right now.

This is true, but if you offer him say ~35 mill and waive the offset language, he could double dip and make more than he would otherwise. There is definitely a mutually beneficial agreement to be made here

Nothing is saying he gets to make the next hire. Blake Baker wasnt his call - it was the admin. They might do the same thing for an OC, especially if he wants to hire Tommy Rees.
