Many here are underestimating the importance of Clyde.

As well as over estimating the importance of Clyde. Look, it sucks that he's hurt and this came at a piss poor time and he's a phenomenal piece of the puzzle.

But let's not pretend like he is the major cog that keeps the wheel turning. There is a guy wearing #9 who is kind of good, as well as an OL and some receivers who are all there too. We'll be ok. It was the same thing in 2005 when we had to play Miami with Flynn starting, and everybody was ready to just throw the towel in and claim the loss and say it was a good season.

Some of y'all are addicted to anxiety at all costs.

Blitz pick up. That's all that matters. All three of the young guys need to be drilled consistently and constantly on blitz pick up from now until game day. Whoever does that job best this week gets the gameday reps.

Has anyone from LSU come out and stated with authority that Clyde won't play?

Do you expect LSU to do this to help OU with planning? Teams lie and downplay injuries at all times. Clyde could've somehow gotten into Mike's cage, had his hamstring completely removed from his body by Mike's bite and O would still be like "Yeah, it's a hamstring injury. We're monitoring it daily and hopeful he can go against OU."

That's not true at all. The biggest advantage Clyde brought to the table was he allowed LSU to create mismatches. LSU could leave the same personnel in the game for several plays and go 5 wide or run the ball with Clyde. He was just as effective as a "WR" as a RB and defenses had to respect his pass catching ability.

Defenses aren't going to care if TDP lines up wide. In fact, they would LOVE to see LSU throw him the ball as opposed to Chase, Marshall, Jefferson. And if LSU wants to go "5 wide" with any effect, they will likely have to sub out TDP. But that is going to allow the defense to put another DB on the field, whereas they couldn't necessarily do so with Clyde in the formation.

That's not saying LSU can't scheme ways to be effective with Clyde out, but he is far, FAR, more valuable than just a runner or pass blocker. He allows LSU to almost always force the defense to make tough decisions on how to match up

In the last 2 games, I really liked what I saw from Chris Curry,
...will be good to see what all 3 running backs can do behind the starting offensive line...

Wanna talk about it? Everything ok at home?

There's no "Ok" in my house, it's all LSU.

this team will make it their mission to take it the rest of the way FOR Clyde (as if they need anymore motivation!) I would not want to be on the other side of this ball next week
I love how guys always think this about their favorite teams that they're the most motivated, like the other teams aren't equally motivated.

If we win, it'll be because we're better, not because we're doing it for Clyde, get that weak shite outta here.
