This helmet probably isn't the answer, but something needs to be done to freshen our helmet. The Tiger head is unrecognizable (even with the apparently new helmet tiger head coming out this year, it's still far too detailed). The letters look like they were stuck on with electrical tape. They have absolutely no relation to our more recent Geaux font. They look ancient. To those who resist change based on "tradition," certainly they must realize that the helmet has been changed numerous times over the years. Nothing wrong with freshening it up now.

Go play let's drink what's under the sink!!!!

Our helmets are iconic and classic. Yes they have changed over the years but not since the 70s. The "geaux font" you refer to isn't standard or was it invented by LSU. Oregon used it before we did. They cleaned up the head this year but the rest of it is the same. I like the 11 PC helmet as well as the 09s but noticed it was the same logo just different colors. Leave it alone!!!!

Also, I love the eye and the logo. The eye was used on the field long ago, went away and returned with Saban. I think its a bad as logo but I don't like it on the helmet and I think that pic on that helmet is an atrocity. frick, the Kansas helmets look better than that one

I would hope that LSU sends Stillman a letter about that...
