The dude is part of the MENSA society yet has the personality to coach at a high level of college football.
He's a "can't miss" guy if you have the chance.
Him or Jimbo would be awesome, but I agree with you that he is the next Saban.

Jimbo would be long gone by now if he were going to the NFL. He's college 4 lyfe.

It was impressive to see Fisher coaching against Ole Miss. After the game he could barely speak and was physically spent. Would love to see that kind of effort on the sideline at LSU.. or Tom Herman.

Why not Chip Kelly pull an Alabama and make him an offer he cant refuse, he looks miserable in the NFL

What people outside of Houston don't know is the amount of energy and press he has brought to their program. He works his arse off on this and the amount of press and attention they get is light years beyond where it was. It's not only because of Xs and Os.
His objective is to create for Houston what Schnellenbeger did at Miami. draw a circle around the Greater Houston area and rename it the State of Houston . If he can do that and win 11+ games a year Join the Big 12 and get to the playoff, guess who ain't coming to LSU?

Nice point Chip Kelly is a nice option just didnt figure LSU would do anything like Alabama to continue to put a champion on the field.

You bring up a great point. If Aranda were the Head coach, I trust he has a really good feel who the main OC players are out there just from film study.

Am I the only person that doesn't see Fisher OR Herman coming here? I just don't see it at all. Fisher is in just as good, if not better, position where he currently sits. If Houston goes Big12, Herman is going to get PAID and will be in a damn good position himself to be a playoff contender year in/year out. Either school would match anything LSU could offer to keep their coach.
If, for some reason, Houston doesn't go Big12, Herman will be the most sought after coach on the market with every school making a change.
Thinking that we will just have or pick of anyone who coaches football is crazy.

And which school that looks to be making a change can outbid LSU? I mean that both financially and other non-quantitative measures also.
LSU is probably a top 10 program in CFB. The programs that are better than us don't look to be making a change barring something unforeseen.
Alabama - No.
ND - Highly Unlikely.
OSU - No.
USC - Unlikely.
UM - No.
UT - Probably No.
OU - Probably No.
I mean sure there are a few teams there that could totally implode and change things (UT and OU being the most likely candidates). Overall though LSU should be the most attractive job on the market.
Even comparable (but probably lower) programs likely won't be changing after this year.
UF - No.
Penn St. - No.
Nebraska - Now irrelevant.
Miami - No.
Outside of something unforeseen LSU will be the leading job on the market by a significant margin.

Buddy LSU could get whoever they want if they WANT to now i say that because the president and athletic director have to WANT to.
