Im not Les Miles biggest fan or critic, but I believe that he is showing very little offense for film reasons, and we will open it up against UGA. Practicing against our 2nd team > practicing against ULL & Miss. St.
If you were replying to me - I was being facetious when I was talking about RS and his 6TDs.
I don't know enough football or spend enough time on it to judge Miles' coaching ability through the TV and internet forums - I go only by wins and stats and I think that he has earned some credit for us to have faith in him.

Idiot’s just babbling to have something to print. True – the Tiger’s have to improve to be considered a “heavy weight;” but it they are overrated then who should be ranked above them?

Anyone not totally clueless about LSU football should have have expected a slow start this year.
Les has this team exactly where we should be at 2-0. LSU's early season ranking is based on its overall talent level and potential.
LSU's young talent should continue to improve as the season progresses.
First real test is Georgia, and that is what Les is preparing this team for. Winning is the most important thing and getting better as a team is more important than winning big early.

He's been favorable to us in the past when others weren't. Let him have his say, so far, he's making sense. I'll take the top 10 though!!

Ohio St is exposed AGAIN as just another overrated big zero team yet falls to only 11 in the polls, but LSU is overrated???

This is one guys opinion. LSU on Saturday played it close to the vest because of the rain. Normally, our gambling head coach would have gone for TDs instead of FGs. I saw a lot of "try-outs" like running LaFell on the option. I wanted to see what Trindon can do with that play. Trindon has to be given a running start because of his size. Shepard is the real deal. Toliver will be good and R.J. is the Quinn of 09.

LSU is doing what needs to be done with a new DC and scheme and basically a kid a QB, in order to get a W.
If this means they are not a top ten team, then so be it.

I find all of this humorous. Exactly what the Rant was designed for. lol A few years back we were all pissed because nobody respected our legitimate power house team and now we're ranked in the top ten "for no real reason" and we 8itch about it.. spoiled fan base? I'm enjoying the consideration. Somewhere between the negatigers and the positigers is the truth... and that truth will be played out every weekend, hopefully with improvements each week!

Remember, this guy makes a living blathering about college football ... if he doesn't blather every day, he doesn't get paid. His comments aren't terribly unfair, however, they are pretty much worthless at the same time. There are so many different factors and variables throughout a season and it is simply too early to predict how LSU will compete against the heavyweights on their schedule. I mean, sure, LSU may not exactly look like a Top 10, but did OK St? How about ALA, which was life and death w/ a nothing Florida school going into the 4th quarter? Has Ole Miss played anybody? Tell you what, LSU has two wins against two competitive teams that I bet will have winning seasons.

The national media really does hate LSU fans. Why you ask? Because they say one thing douchebag LSU fans don't agree with and their email box is filled with illiterate meanderings of pissed off cajuns

Does LSU look like a top 10 team right now? Prolly not? But outside of Florida, USC and maybe Bama, I could argue none of the others do either.

Bama+OleMiss+top10=FAIL

More like telling the truth. LSU is not a top 10 right now, period. Negatiger or not, you're retarded if you think otherwise. Maybe down the road they will be but not right now. If we played Alabama/Georgia/Ole Miss/Florida this week, any of those, we'd get killed. We'd lose by Ole Piss secret weapon alone, swine flu.

What I think is this: LSU is 2-0, and the coaches obviously showed different gameplans for both UW and Vandy.
LSU played "Prevent", or dropped back far in coverage the 1st half against UW. I really think LSU wanted to see and figure out Locker. 2nd half LSU tightened the coverage and did much better (minus UW's last drive when LSU went back to "Prevent").
Against Vandy, and sloppy conditions (rain and wet field), it was about ball control and taking all points available. LSU did not throw down field a lot for one good reason: they didn't have to.
Now, with all this said, I do have some concerns like many fans, but I assure you, I'm not throwing in the towel and/or going into "meltdown mode". This LSU team has the youngest starting QB in the SEC. It lost it's best offensive lineman from last year (H. Johnson) and it does show a bit. This team, I believe, WILL improve week to week. Will they win a NC this year? I have doubts about that, but LSU's best years are closely ahead of them.

Nobody realized it rained 6 inches over the last 3 days in and around Tiger Stadium........The tiger's efforts where more than adequate on a wet field against Vandy........look at Vandy's last 10 SEC games and see how many points people were scoring on them.

4 games at start of season to get up to par to be able to play against Georgia and Florida.
